No proper water supply in toilets, taps were not working hot water had to be provided from another room. Blankets were filthy. No one cleaned the room during our stay. No soap provided. For a cheaper price far better rooms were available nearby.
Hotel Chaithanya International is situated very near to the Prasanthi Nilayam, the abode of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. We had occupied a double room on the third floor, and could see the superb statue of Lord Hanuman on the top of the hill. The humble and courteous staff at the hotel and the North Indian restaurant is quite memorable. The room was clean and tidy. The ambiance of the room is quite worth mentioning. Hotel Chaithanya can be proud of having quality room with good staff. We do hope to stay in the hotel during our next pilgrimage to Puttaparthy.
The double room at Hotel Chaithanya International is quite good. The staff is courtous and humble. However proper ventilation has to be provided in.
It was a comfortable stay and I was happy with overall experience. I went with my family so their room arrangement and service was quite satisfactory. Staff was active and ready to assist any time. Food was also tasteful.

it is the most difficult experience so far....the workers/helpers are nice, simple people and very poor. they need your tip if you ever stay there...but really telling: don't stay...rooms are old, not properly aired, the doors don't close properly. It is noisy from the road as well as from the back of the premises. and there is no decency from the actual owner of this property....
it is located close to the College area, just 3 minutes to the Ganesh Gate. Nice, clean room and friendly, local staff....has a great inner compound to park a car...and a little Punjabi restaurant, where a couple is cooking fresh and tasty Punjabi food....we like it here....everyone is friendly and helpful, try it for yourself
This Hotel was not at all a right choice. Uncleand rooms, 1970's style, Bathroom fittings were hanging down, Mosquitos roaming around like an added partner, no hygienic care, No cotton Bedsheets used - it pinches hot at night. No wifi , no chilled water, management was not ready to listen. Also never use online booking as hotel rate was much cheaper than what I paid online.
nice, quiet hotel, not fancy, but peaceful. Right at the entrance of Puttaparthi, which makes it walkable distance to every other place. If you come out and turn right, you walk along the College campus. its like walking in a park, because of the greenery and big trees inside the campus. You have to walk on the road only, yes, there is traffic, but not much. The road side is very clean, parkbenches to sit and in ten minutes you reach Gokulam village, then Postoffice area. Turn left into a road leading to Leela palace appartments, further down a dusty road towards another parallel tarmac road. turn left again and walk towards Sathyam resort for a cup of tea, then walk further to Durga Temple and after another fifteen minutes on the same road you reach Chitravathi Road. Turn left and five minutes later you are at ganesha gate. Turn left and in three minutes you are back to the hotel. A lovely walk early morning or evening. The hotel is just nice and comfortable...we like it.
Tomorow is Sai Baba's birthday(23rd November 2014 ). This is the first time we thought to celebrate Baba's 89th birthday in puttaputhi . So on monday,17th November 2014 we called Chaitanya International for booking a room. Narayanswami, who picked the call and confirmed that one delux double bed room will be booked in our name. And also before our travel date on 19th November we reconfirmed it. So with all Baba's blessing we reached on 20th November 2014 around 10:00am. Narayanswami allocate a temporary room to fresh up as it will be taking some time to vacate our room. So we thought to visit Baba's ashram meanwhile and returned from Ashram around 12:00 noon. Narayanswami informed us that the person who was supposed to check out has not yet vacated the room & thus borrowed some more time from us. As we needed to take bath, Narayanswami arranged another room and informed us just to use bathroom, not to use anything more as the room is allocated to another person. We agreed and used only the bathroom and went out for lunch. Some around 1:00pm we returned to Chaitanya International and again Narayanswami repeating the same word. This made me irritated. So after lots of thinking Narayanswami allocate a room no.205, which is AC room. But as I booked for non-AC so he agreed to allocate that room without AC. Around 4:30 p.m., Narayanswami informed us he cannot change a AC room to nonAC, and forced us to take the room with AC, which will cost us Rs.1000 where as non-AC rooms are Rs. 700. When I refused to pay extra 300 as I booked long back and he promissed to allocate a non-AC room, Narayanswami rudely said us to vacate the room. I told I came with my family - my wife & my 1 year baby, what I will do at this last hour. You could have informed this at morning. But he didn't do anything, just one choice Take the AC room or vacate the room. As this is peak time, we didn't got any room and forced to leave Puttapurthi before Baba's birthday. This sad story will be remembered every year before Baba's Birthday and everytime when I will visit Puttapurthi. If you want to enjoy without harrasment please DO NOT think of staying in Chaitanya International.
