Overall the experience was good. Few points to note for future travelers. 1) Very convenient and close by to the temple and Agni Theertham. 2) The hotel is situated very close to the temple, due to security restrictions you cannot drive up to the hotel. The hotel has a small parking lot outside of the temple corridor from where you will have to call up the hotel and have your luggage moved and you will have to walk about 200 meters to reach the hotel. 3) The hotel does not have any restaurant. There are restaurants nearby this hotel but of average quality. 4) Service was good but room amenities can be improved. TV channels are very grainy,TV & AC remote not in good working condition.

House keeping was horrible. Vehicle parking was far away from hotel. No hot water. Bath fittings were broken. Bad experience

Hotel location is good just opposite the temple. Hotel staff is also supportive . Room are big and clean. Room rates are ok . Lift facility is also available in the hotel. Good hotel for short stay. Restaurant is not available in the hotel.

Room was very clean, bigsize room. Its very close to Ramnathswami temple which makes very comfortable darshan especially in the morning. I was in new year here and did darshan theree times due to proximity of hotel. Only thing for improvement is bathroom. It was fantastic value for money.

i was there in this hotel which was neaby to temple . when we checked in they delayed our check in and provide us unclean room promising us to provide good room after 1 hr. we went to temple and came back to our room but it was pathetic. my ac was making lots of noise , bedsheets were dirty , room was too suffocating, lots of mosquitoes , no facilites provided . When i complained about thing they dont really care. when i asked about providing goodnite they refused and ask us to buy by ourself. i just want to run away from that place but no other options . I suggest not to take this hotel if you are with family.

This hotel is very near to Ramaswamy Temple, Agnee Tirtham etc and couple of rooms have moderate sea view. Though it lacks good room service and found to be little reserved in terms of delivery. But we met a bengali person in reception who is very supportive and helpful. One can really view a good sunrise from its roof.

We three British guys were staying a night in Blue Coral Cottages and found that we were unable to stay a second night as booked out. We researched the alternatives and saw the HSV was a good option for a sea view hopefully. We popped along in the evening to see if they had availability for the next night. The English speaking receptionist showed us a triple room without a view. He said that they might have a double with extra bed for the night we wanted but we would have to check in the morning. Price for sea view and A/C was 2000 but he would give us a discount of 200! 1800 was a good price for us. Much better than 4400 quoted by HTamilNadu. We returned late morning to find another receptionist (not such good English) so we had to start from scratch explaining , thankfully the original was summoned and he kept his word (rare!) and offered us two adjacent rooms 304&5(?) for 1800. We chose 304 with the firmer/newer(?) mattress albeit not at the end of the corridor. It was not ready yet so we spent half an hour on the fairly good reception wifi catching up with the English Hindu Times too no problem. When the room was ready we used the lift to access the second floor, got into the room and it was fine. There was a largish room, almost super king size bed 180x195 (I carry a tape tape measure!), window, bootable door to small semicircular balcony overlooking the picturesque fishing boats and a bathing establishment changing rooms and urinals' doors. NOT a problem, just sit on the one chair and the wall conceals it! 305's view was more obvious I remember! Room had a medium size CRT TV (untested), big mirror, A/C, fan, desk, two chairs, wardrobe, telephone, two electrical sockets for charging. Combi showerroom, sink and toilet was clean, fair sized mirror with working light above and tap with fair pressure for shaving and cleaning razor. I now have a routine (as sometimes these wet rooms can be smelly) for giving the WHOLE toilet pan (even under the rim, seat, hinges, cover, under, over and behind cistern), walls, corner, even the spray holder itself a good spray, soak and rinsing spray over with the toilet sprayer usually supplied. Sometimes you see dislodged grunge and bits flow into the corner drain pipe, just as well. Then have a shower!! It should not smell after that! My friend cleans the mirrors and windows, often overlooked for some reason! There were towel racks and the water was tepid as I did NOT use the immersion heater, all fine. The window was completely meshed over. The bed was a proper super king with no rut in the middle so we decided that as the receptionist had given us a good deal we did not need an extra (in the way) bed and could all have 60cm each, so saving them time, energy, laundry bills and the environment! Despite being told there was only wifi in the reception there actually was Wifi in room on one side of bed only! Much better than none. The receptionist did not believe our positive feedback! The A/C and fan worked well. This side of the hotel gets the afternoon and evening heat so both were useful! The balcony was small, only accommodating one seat as door opened outwards but in the evening it was very hot so not conducive to sitting out. In the mid morning it caught the sun and the general smell of fish pervaded the air. Nothing to do with the hotel and totally absent in the room when A/C was on. The window was cleaned by my friend as the view was still better! The very conscientious receptionist water allowed us top ups of UV treated water and even gave me a free tea in the morning and wrote down minor problems of the room. He also explained the #3 bus route to Danushkodi (not pushing an organised trip), and was in general very friendly and genuine. He let me know his name was Fernando. We were expecting to leave by 13:00 and had left (mostly packed) bags in the room whilst we walked to the Railway Station to book the evening train (come back at 5, computer says no!!) and had brunch at the excellent Chola non-Veg restaurant on Bazar/Duanushkodi Road, popped into a few shops so arrived at 13:15, oooops. Fernando was not too happy as he had said there was an imminent booking (hotels can be booked by the hour in effect as a place of worship catering for day trippers too). We rushed to the room, finally packed and I chatted to Fernando, easing the situation, waiting for my slow friends, and he gave me a free tea and advice on hotels in Kanyakumari our next destination. My friends emerged and Fernando let us leave our bags by the stairs safely till we needed to pick them up for the train journey. We walked along the coast northwards along the fisherman strip, a little paddle, saw some unadvertised or unprompted sites. On the way have a cool litre of water or fizzy pop in the shade of palm trees at Holy Island Water Sports kids play complex (5 admission unless imbibing). They really do not know how to do beachfront cafes. This was an attempt! Encourage the woman who runs it! After the paddle (and pulling about 30 glass (alcohol) bottles out of the water and piling up out of the way) we noticed local schoolchildren dumping bins of rubbish from the school onto the fringes of the beach....duly tweeted! Back to the hotel at 16:45, collect the bags, give Fernando 120 in 'tips' for looking after the bags and general service (the place is one of the better more expensive joints in town but a t is so difficult to gauge a tip amount as 120 is two meals, 24 local price teas, 1/3 of a small bottle of vodka, the official MRP of a bottle of beer, 1/4 way to Chennai on a sleeper train, or three sets of pillow and sheet in the non A/C sleepers as we found out later on our way to Kanyakumari. So difficult. He smiled and laughed. Oh well. Local Tip Prices I expect! Maybe they are used to $5 bills or 5 notes? I told Fernando I'd give the hotel 5/5 as he really makes an effort and the all male team do keep the place clean and tidy in an ageing environment. If you wipe your feet multiple times as you enter the reception from the filthy street it will be noted and appreciated!! Respect! Overall, yes an excellent place to stay. Despite initial reservations and a few niggling points. Give them feedback for your room and things will be sogrted no doubt if it is under their control.
