This is a budget hotel and the rooms are not clean. The floor carpet is dirty and even after request they did not provide clean bedsheet. Bathroom is clean. A major problem are flies. Most of the other hotels I checked are similar, so not too many options or alternatives available nearby.
Ok for transit stay for a night.
Well firstly, I see no other option in Rampur that is beside the road and has a catchy name.
I fell for the name and went in. I had to stay so no option.
From outside, the views are good. But like someone has written earlier, all the rooms go 2 floors below the road level and we have to pass through the dirty smelly kitchen and some creepy rooms seen at the -1 level which I don't want to guess the purpose. (I tried asking the room service boy, he just smiled and waved hands saying, those are for staying too)
There was something about the service boys and waiters at the hotel. They could not get their eyes off us until we were at the reception, restaurant, terrace, as if looking at humans for the first time.
Well, the rooms were clean, good and once we were inside the room, we were more comfortable.
The thought that we were the only two people inside the whole hotel made me doubt my choice but never the less, being out of options...
Rooms are not that bad if you are not bothered about the outside world.
Friends can definitely stay overnight here, not family.
Hotel is overpriced for its service and location
Asked for rooms, no keys available with them. Serves as a local bar, not recommended for families. For the rooms you have to go down, close from the kitchen, smelly passage. Rooms are too very smelly and damp. Still they have stickers at the reception boasting- recommend by Trip Advisor.
The hotel is situated at the boring place. Went there with my friends after a long drive from delhi entourage to kaza and thought of resting for the night but the hotel receptionist was not at all interested in entertaining us. He quoted to us"i don't have the keys to the rooms as they are locked in a different locker and we need to wait for 90 minutes". I really thought that i really don't want to stay here as god knows what is to follow. After sometime, upon us being tough on him saying that is this how they treat customers, magically, keys were found. We saw the room and they were smelly and small and toilets were not good either, so we decided to move on and see something in jeori. Obviously, the first impression played a huge role in our final decision. Also by the look of their parking, not sure if there were any other people staying.
We started overnight at this hotel on our way to Spiti. On our way, we crossed at least one hotel in Rampur that has better ambience than this one but the rooms had a very dull view. As we entered, we realised it's bar was a favourite with locals who were drinking away to glory n then falling like potatoes on their way out. Sone it was already almost 10 pm, we decided to stay put anyway since there wasn't any time to look out for more options. We were taken to our room through an extremely dingy and dirty staircase. The room itself didn't have much space. Since we were 3 adults and a child, after fitting an extra bed, there was hardly any walking space in the room. There were many obstinate flies in the room that just refused to get out. We ordered food in the room itself. The butter chicken and tandoori chicken tasted good. The paneer burji seemed to have been made out of paneer that had gone bad. The towels n there linen in the room didn't look clean although we got them changed once again in front of ourselves. There was a balcony attached to the room that overlooked the Satluj River. It was amazing to stand there on the morning and feel the fresh air, disk in the views of the river and the mountains. We got to see some great species of birds from our balcony including a male and female Asian paradise flycatcher, bulbuls, etc. The parking was inside the complex on the roof top. The service was sloppy too. Overall, a bad experience and I wouldn't stop there ever again.
