It has been a second home to me personally.
We had a wonderful 2 nights stay in Aug 2016 and 1 night stay in Dec 16 at country retreat Farm stay. The farmhouse itself is comfortable and cozy with plenty of room for the whole family/group. The highlight though was spending time with host - KP, and his collection of farm animal and books. It was great fun riding a farm tractor, wandering the farm, Visiting temple, watching the sun rise and down, enjoying the peace @ swing, improved sleep quality, Visiting nearby village school, Jeep safari, watching stars @ night and etc etc etc.......
We were all looked after very very well and No one can beat the hospitality.
traveled with friends, Looking forward to bring family soon.
I had been touring Rajasthan on my cycle, and suddenly decided to stop over at Bankli on my way to Ranakpur. The ride to this place itself gave an amazing feeling - lush green fields, ponds, canals, the hills (Aravalli), peacocks, remote small villages and villagers. I was received with a lot of warmth by the host, Krishnapal (KP). KP took care of all minute details ensuring a comfort stay.
While the farm house is surrounded with acres and acres of fields, the stay was almost equivalent to a 5 star facility - luxury rooms, delicious spread (healthy and homely) combined with best hospitality. On the other side, you are amongst the fields and mountains and totally away from modern civilization.
While this place is a remote location on google maps, it is so very well connected to the nearest cities that I took a trip to Mount Abu using public transport and returned on same day - looks so far, yet so near.
KP was a live Rajasthan encyclopedia - regularly dishing out information about the culture of various groups of people in Rajasthan, historical importance of various places, the geographical spread, cultural differences between cities and villages, etc. - I got to learn so many things which added to my rich experience. I almost felt like am part of Rajasthan and also boosted my confidence in my solo ride in the state.
The icing on the cake was the bird watching experience at a natural lake near a village - this is not a tourist spot and is hidden away from the road - Hence it is completely secluded, peaceful and its only yourself, the lake, mountains and varieties of birds. KP had discovered this place and he also taught me names of various birds that we spotted. This is an unique experience which cannot be brought by money.
I also got an amazing view of sunrise and sunset from the fields closer to the farm. My stay was concluded with a camp fire under the moon and a friendly conversation with Shivani (KP's wife) and listening to the song numbers played by the 2 year old Shaurya (KP's son).
I was so glad that I extended my stay - It was a home away from home and so close to nature.
I don't have those words which can put my feelings on words..still khushamat to khuda ko bhi pyari hoti hai..keeping that on ma mind I will say it was just awesome, fabulous stay at Country Retreate farm Stay @ Bankli Rajasthan
We were there for 3N/4D stay with my whole family of 14 members with combination age...we all found it very comfortable & cosy stay..Everyone's had that family wali feeling...including kids & elders didn't want to leave that place on check out days.
Coming to the hospitality point:
MR.Krishnapalji Champawat the owner of the property himself welcomed us very warmly...he arranged for the nice yummy came on arrival as it was a birthday of one of our grp member...he took interest in individual's food requirements & food choices...& even served us their Most yummy Samosas which taste we can't get anywhere in world..once again as he came to know we loved it so much.
Arrangement for Night Safari & bird watching with breakfast will always catchy and ask for your attention...it was mind blowing experience !!
At last will only say...this is the place where we can give a real great organic life to ourselves & family...Economy friendly life..no gadgets no Televisions..still our kids didn't want to come back..
Thank you so much KPJI for your wonderful hospitality!!
Second time homecoming feels like i never left this place. I am usually not the poetic kind but this place brings an excitement inside me which i have felt at very few places in my life.
This was my second visit to this beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of Rajasthan and i am glad i was here. The place carries a charm of its own. Rustic outback, lush green fields, warm locals and a welcoming host.
I was determined to spend longer then what i was able to manage in my first visit. You want to explore the hinterland and would regret to be back home without experiencing the natural beauty of Rajasthan. So i spent almost a week here and ensured i got a taste of the rural India which most of the city dwellers have forgotten or have never experienced.
From waking up in the morning to the sweet sound of birds chirping outside the room window (and not office traffic), to the smell of the grass, to the amazing spread in breakfast, i can find so many things to write here that it will take too long to finish the review.
The most amazing part was the fun which my little one had here. He turned one a couple of months back and this place was an education to him which he just cant get back home in Delhi. To see the sparrows in the sky, the finishes in the lake, the ducks swimming free, not like a zoo and the freedom of an atmosphere free of pollution. You have to live through the experience to understand my words.
If you want only a five star hotel and pastry food which smells and tastes the same, do not bother. But if you want to experience the real India, what our country stands for, still living in luxury which does not shout itself in the face, come here and spend some time between nature.
I cycled to this farmstay from jodhpur along the route recommend by the farmstay. My host was an excellent help in these parts. The road leading to it is scenic and serene. Acres and acres of mustard farms were a delight for eyes. The water canals and ponds add to the attraction.
The farmstay itself is located in the middle of a mustard farm. Its far away from the village but near enough for a leisure walk. You can get mesmerising sunset and sunrise views behind the Aravalis.
Our host was our guide too. Nothing was left for chance. The night with a campfire on roof was something to remember. And excellent food rounded up the experience.
In the end, I left wondering why shouldn't I extend my stay.
