Best Location,Poor Maintenance!! Best Location,Poor Maintenance!!

We visited Ranakpur on our journey from Jodhpur to Udaipur and decided to stay in this Govt Hotel. The booking was done online ans we expected comfortable overnight stay. The Hotel is located at a very scenic peaceful place which is very impressive. It is very near the Famous Ranakpur temple and we had a good visit at the temple. The temple has the facility of Lunch at a very nominal charge of Rs 50,so we enjoyed are lunch there.Coming to the hotel,we were disappointed with the maintenance. The door room once opened was not lockable again. My husband had to work with the only helper there to fix it.The Bathroom light was not working till 7.30 in the evening and electrician was called after repeated reminders. The TV was there but not working. There was no cook in the kitchen and we were advised to go to the temple again for our dinner. There are only two employees looking after the entire hotel. RTDC is requested to take care of the pathetic condition of the hotel which inspite of being in the best location gives worst experience to the tourists. For the tourists i suggest take a non Ac room.We loved the scenic beauty of the natural surroundings. The mornings and evenings are very pleasant. It is midst of Jungle far away from the city noise.Enjoy the chirping of birds with the first rays of Sun filtering through the trees.Proximity to Ranakpur Jain temple is added advantage.

We were given 2 rooms but in one room there was not electricity in the Toilet cum bathroom. Warm water was provided from Hotel Kitchen. Rooms are big but not well maintained. One should be lucky to get good room with all electricals working. Food was average and there's no other options nearby.

What I liked best about his hotel is its location! So nice situated in what can be called a valley. The staff was very co-operative too. We reached hotel very late at night and they took special pains to make a superb dinner specially for us. It was just like home cooking. Another advantage is that the hotel is very close to the classical Jain temple - just a few steps. The temple itself is to be seen. To describe in words would never justify the wonder its sight beholds. Highly recommended for one and all. One word of caution - please make sure you reach well before before dark as you may have to drive through narrow roads and night driving is not pleasant at all.

Sad to see such a nice place in shambles. Not worth staying unless you book an AC room! Location: the place is located on the main Ranakpur road almost walking distance from main Jain temple. The property is built at a beautiful location, but is running into shambles - more details below Rooms: Being the December season we booked a non AC room. However, when we checked in we realized that half the lights in the room were not working, many of the plain points were not working, the washbasin drainage was over flowing, toilet tank was over flowing and many more such issues. The caretaker was a nice person and tried to help us in whatever way he could. However, we were expecting these basic things in functional condition so we requested him to shift us to a new room. However, to our surprise all the rooms had some issue or the other - some rooms didn't have geyser in working condition and in other rooms the lights were not working. No wonder in peak season the property was not full and on the the last day of the stay we were the only people in the entire resort! We eventually upgraded to the AC room, and thankfully the basic things were working. However you expect much better from the place Food: Being situated next to Jain temple, this place serves only pure vegetarian food. They also don't have a bar unlike other RTDC resorts. However, even if you decide we suggest that you step out for meals. They serve very basic things in meal services and the caretaker also acts as the chef! Service: It's a property which is run by one person and his helper. The guy acts as a manager at reception, an electrician, guard and cook. He is quite a nice person but you can imagine the state the place would be in. The place has 16 rooms and is managed by one staff, makes me wonder the number of guests staying there.
