The hotel is 11 kms ahead of Ranikhet on the Ranikhet Kausani road. It is far from the city and no crowds (or shops) are nearby. It is right on the road, but has a great view of the snow capped mountains right from the rooms. A small climb up the hill behind the hotel will give better, unobstructed views. The hotel has no private parking and the vehicles have to be parked in front of the hotel. However, considering the location of the hotel, it is good to take one's own vehicle. Rooms have nice wooden flooring, satellite television, big windows and a balcony with nice views. The beds could have been better though. The bathroom is spacious and clean, though (as in most places in the hills), the flow of water from the taps, and especially the shower is weak. The bathrooms have geysers installed for hot water. Take your own toileteries and towels though. The towels were not in great shape. The care taker and cook will cook up simple tasty food, but don't expect a gourmet meal. Some rations need to be purchased from Ranikhet (like chicken, mutton etc), so ensure you inform the staff beforehand to enable them to get the items from Ranikhet. If you are not looking for a luxurious holiday and really want some peace and quiet in the hills, this can be a choice One thing I did not like about the place: When we reached the hotel, I noticed a clothes line near our rooms which the staff probably use for drying their clothes. Some clothes were lying on the ground there. On telling the staff, these clothes were promptly removed, though, and did not reappear during our stay.
