This was my first experience with travelguru & surely it would be the last.Ihad booked an AC room but I was aghast to note that the hotel had no AC room.Is it not cheating? I did not notice that the receipt recd from you did not mention AC room.I also learnt that there was huge difference between hotel tariff & your booking charges.Even I would have pardoned that but instead of AC room I was given non Ac room. It tantamounts to cheating & I would surely like to take it up with consumer redressal forum.

We stayed at this hotel for 15 days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean and rooms were excellent! The flooring is all marbel. The staff was excellent especially those who attended at the restaurant. They were always attentive to our needs and were even ready to make special requests at breakfast time. The buffet breakfast included western and indian dishes. Everyday there was a new variety of Indian dishes from the chef. The staff at the reception were very obliging. The hotel is located in a high end area of Mumbai. It is peaceful and safe. Very close to town. A number of restaurants and shopping areas closeby. Taxis are available right outside the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to those visiting Mumbai. The rates too are reasonable for the location, rooms, service and buffet. I would surely stay there everytime I visit Mumbai!!!! Once again thanks to the staff of Regency Hotel who made our stay such a pleasant one.

I was staying here after a gap of about 6 months and it continues to be consistent in what it offers. My comments remain the same from last time. This time I got even a better rate on Booking and hence it was even better value.

The staff were nice but not everyone, some are warm and some are just not cordial. The front desk staff are okay, the room attendants are fine but the security guards are The most friendly--but they dont speak english. The restaurant area is not impressive. Breakfast buffet had no variety. The rooms are old and stuffy. The shower had a window leading to the main room, with blinds and glass windows that need cleaning. The sheets and towels are inappropriate for a three star hotel, the bed /mattress is worn out and you wouldn't want to sleep on it if you had a bad back! The old style elevator is COOL although most of my colleagues were afraid to use it! The wifi password only lasts for 24hrs and you have to get one every time you get back in at night from a day of tiresome business meetings. Location is right by the main street and the last thing you hear are the honkings of the cars at night. The same noise would also be your alarm clock in the morning. NOT IDEAL if you want a restful night with all the noise outside. I believe we paid around 90$ per room.

Not really a very good experience. Late night check in, as usual. TV was not working, can you beat that? Since it was very late, I didn't call anybody. When I told them the next morning, they were not really concerned. At breakfast, most of the containers were empty even after nearly 30 minutes had passed after the start time. Even one of the lights was blinking. Breakfast was pretty ordinary, like the overall experience.

There are very few, if any, hotels in this part of Bombay that is primarily upscale residential. Regency has been holding fort for quite some time now. It is a typical 3 star Indian style hotel with no frills, comfortable Indian decor rooms but with an excellent breakfast that is included in the rate. The rooms are mainly kitsch decor that Indians love so much. However, service is warm and friendly. Location is excellent if you need to be in this part of town. However, stay here for the breakfast alone. It is quite a spread, mainly Indian fare, that the wait staff is more than happy to feed you. All rooms face the main road, and the rooms on the lower floor will have some street noise. I walked in without a reservation and snagged a corporate rate of INR 4,400 plus taxes for a standard room for single. It was very good value. I was staying after a gap of few years, and nothing has changed.
