This is one of the camps that one has to visit themselves to experience the beauty, freshness and pristine natural condition of the location(thanks to the camp's management and staff for responsibly using the location without causing much harm to the environment).
Reaching there is a bit tricky and could be challenging for one who isn't used to uneven/mountainous roads and could be scary also. At one place it is particularly more scary where the small meandering path crosses a point where land slide had occurred.
Along the way till you reach the camp, there are many other camps and you tend to mistake them for camp Ganga Riviera.
However once you reach Camp Ganga Riviera, you know the immense difference in location advantage and facilities that Camp Ganga Riviera commands.
The place is too scenic, with 3 beaches, personal diving point, almost private waterfall, semi permanent structures, permanent flush-able western toilets(unlike makeshift toilets in other camps), good kitchen and friendly staff.
You don't need seating arrangements to be able to enjoy the view. Almost all the spots are equally scenic on their own. Still there are hammocks, chairs and campfire arrangements.
The staff here is pretty trained who take the guests for river water rafting.
Overall one has to go once to experience what the camp has to offer.
Awesome camp and amazing team. A must for all adventure and nature lovers. Sand-Water-Sun - a true nature treat.
All the activities like rafting, kayaking, waterfall bath, rock climbing all are too good.
Trainers and complete team is excellent.
A visit to the Ganges will change your life. And this camp is one of the best conduits for such an experience.
Absolutely amazing, well equipped and understanding staff, extremely serene view+Best. Food. Ever... All the makings for a vacation like no other.
The adventure sports is very safe and absolutely brilliant!
The place is highly recommended and lives upto it's expectations.
We visited Camp Ganga Riveria in November, obviously a part of This 'Group'. The whole atmosphere in the camp was serene no doubt about that, but it was just only because of the location, nothing else. The tent were pretty small and not that grand (definitely look for other options as well as the ones having better hygiene facilities). The washroom was not at all clean ( I dont think we need to remind the people over there to clean it everyday, its default thing). The waterfall was amazing. The activities, kayaking, cliff jumping as well as rappelling was a treat to do. But, the last day, was a nightmare, we went for river rafting and there it was a blunder by these people, where they dint inform us about the level and took us to the highest rapid of Ganga (as told by their manager only, we are not making stories of our own). Our raft flipped completely, and all of us fell in the river, deep down. I dont think this was necessary at all. I can understand the adventure of other people asking to get a flip, but this was not our cup of tea. They rescued us, thats true but it was there job to do that. Only thing is our life was at risk, we were very horrified. Anything could have happened. We are still in deep state of shock. Please confirm before going for rafting and explore other camp options in Rishikesh.
We went to CGR recently and had so much fun. From starting it was adventure. To reach to camp was also fun.
We have been to different places in east north side of India. This is the best food. We got facilities on our table as we were just 6 people during that time. Food was delicious and yummy.
Well trained person was with us with each and every activity. Cliff jumping was so much fun. Kayaking was also great. Rock climbing and rappelling was fantastic. River rafting was good. Our raft turn around which is normal in river rafting. Because of turn around we were scared so much. We survived that is important and the trained people only saved us. That is the main thing for us.
MUST MUST GO for adventure and nature love.
