Beautifully planned and so very well operated hotel which is located in such lush green environment that it doesnt feels that u are so close to the Gujarat and Maharashtra border. The rooms are awesome and classy with super yummy food. The staff is very helpful and courteous too. I had used the pool and gym too which were very well maintained too. Every room has a decently balcony also which offers privacy from other rooms also. Overall an amazing experience.
First the hill station itself is so good clean and well maintained by Government of Gujarat that you like to visit it again and again and then there is this nice hotel excellent exactly in front of the lake location, huge premises lush green lawn huge parking everything neat and clean, superb swimming pool and the most important are rooms so spacious and nice, comfy beds, spacious bath area, lot of empty space, The best breakfast has so many items to choose from and after having it you won't feel like having lunch. Staff so good and helping always - Everything about it is astounding. It actually deserves more than five stars
Well if luxury and comfort is something you are looking at saputara (happens to be a small place) then this is one property that could be considered. They do have another property across the lake by the name of patang. However one who loves a peaceful place then this is one property one should opt for.
However, the service (housekeeping especially) is one aspect that needs to be seriously looked at and needs improvement. The food and the staff at the restaurant are simply great... Mr. Ghuman (if i recollect the name correctly) had been quite helpful and proactive with customers needs at the restaurant.
Overall, a great place to relax and enjoying the luxury (this word goes keeping in mind the size and topography of the place). A small vacation at this place can be quite refreshing...
Stayed here with my family comprising of 2 couples and one kid. We were given a deluxe room on third floor when we reached at around 12.45pm.The check in was a smooth one with 8+ rooms being checked-in simultaneously. The spacious rooms are well appointed with a good view of the lake. Most of the deluxe rooms have a lake view (room no. x14-x16 with diagnol view and rooms x02-x10 with front facing view). The elite rooms are x01,x11,x12,x18 with views of lake and hills depending on the room selected ( x denotes the floor 1/2/3). Higher the floor clearer the view of the lake). The rooms have a mini fridge and cookies basket which are chargeable , however they do not have a kettle but can be arranged if available from unoccupied elite rooms. However, warm drinking water is easily available from room service.
The restaurant Blue Corainder is on the basement where unfortunately there is no direct lift access. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are usually served here or in the lawns at special occassion like Christmas / Diwali etc. The charges are Bfast 250/-, Lunch 450/-, Dinner 500/- ( all charges are excluding applicable GST). The menu for each of the meal is a vast spread :
1. Breakfast includes South Indian, North Indian, Gujarati delicacies, dry snacks and cookies, bread toast / bread butter , cut fruits, fruit juices (canned / fresh), sprouts ,milkshake, tea, coffee and milk
2. Lunch and Dinner includes Welcome drink, 2 soups,3 salads, 2 starters, 3 Vegetables, 2 Oriental delicacies and Rice/Dal preparation. Desserts usually had one Indian sweet and Ice cream
Despite wide spread and good food quality (except for the rice which needed a good cooking), what needs a detailed look is the food warming solution which made good fresh food appear cold when picked up in the plate and taste of the food which wasn't truly authentic to its original taste; but good attempt though.
Recreational area is also located on the basement which includes non temperature controlled swimming pool (regular and baby), gym which is open during 7-10 in the morning and 5-8 in the evening, other activities includes carrom, snooker table and table tennis which needed some maintenance though. They have a lawn for kids play and dedicated play area nwar the entrance with swings, see-saw and slides. They also have daily newspaper and library for reading books (as per availability) at their lobby level.
While some of the booking websites boast about Massage centre at the property, but the same is non operational since last 6 months.
Considering that we visited during Christmas period, they had arranged for bon fire and DJ , Games for everyone's entertainment.
Room service and house keeping are prompt in their service and apologetic even in case of a slight delay. As for the car parking it is just outside the actual property ramp and in close supervision of the security (although as a formality they do mention about parking at one's own risk)
Check out was prompt as well, actually we had to tell them about the check-out couple of times and didn't seem to be forceful about their check-out time
Location is a key plus with lake, museum and ropeway in close proximity of 2-3 kms radius from the property. There is a honey bee centre just behind the property which is worth a visit.
Overall a good stay, good lake view rooms, great hospitality, just the food taste and certain aspects pertaining to the restaurant needs a relook to make it a 5 on 5.
We had a very comfortable stay there with a very good, Spacious and well maintained room . The staff was very courteous, well behaved and the property very lush and nicely maintained . Options for kids with a play area and games room. The view from the room was amazing. Restaurant quality was also good. Thank you
