our stay at the hotel sid archie palace suggested by travel guru was not at all satisfactory. the rooms of the hotel are in a terrible situation with fungus all over the walls. the rooms were smelling horrible when we entered into the room. those rooms are not at all worth 3000 rs. they are not worth paying 1000 also. the blankets and towels they provided us seemed as if they are not washed since months. though the service was average. lifts are not working. rooms are very small compared to their rates. overall, this was the worst staying experience in any hotel ever. travel guru must be concerned about the condition of the hotel before suggesting them for travellers and costing so high which is not at all worth. i would recommend the travellers not to go for this hotel.
Hotel is situated away from the market of Saputara by around 1 KM and facing the mountains. I found that to be peaceful and the view was also nice from the room. Dining options are limited as there are not much of varieties to choose from. While on vacation one tends to eat as much delicacies as possible but the Hotel lacks that and we had to walk down to the town center to look out for options. Rooms were neat and clean. There were some teething issues but they managed to get them rectified post highlighting them to the authorities. Overall for a couple of night stay its a good Hotel and economical too.

It's an average hotel located slightly in the interior with no gr8 views. Rooms are OK but service is pretty average. Go for it only if you are getting a good deal. Not worth paying more than 2000 per day.
After reading some of the reviews for this Hotel, I almost decided to cancel my booking but I didn't and it turned out to be right decision. Hotel is well connected and close to main attraction of Saputara i.e. Lake. Rooms were clean. I think this hotel is good option if you dont want to cut down on hotel expenses. Complementary breakfast was pretty average but fine.
My friend had booked this hotel through a travel agent. We were 6 of us staying in 3 rooms. The hotel has a decadent let down feeling the minute you enter in. The sofa is stained and the interior is dank. The rooms are bad too. The quality of linen is terrible. There was fungus on the pillow covers, hair on the pillows and bed and blood stains on the bedsheets!! The white towels were grey!!! There is no hot water on demand, (only in the morning) no tea on demand , ( the milk comes after 7.30 am) the breakfast is bad ( poha with watered tea) To top it off.. We paid 3500 for this room. Simply avoid if you can.
Went to Saputara on the 31st of December. Apart from the awesome hospitality they provided, the hotel had also arranged for a New Year party on the hotel terrace, and free breakfast the next morning. While I would not call this a five star facility, their accommodation was good enough. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The only grievance that I have is the lack of water heating facility in individual rooms. Hot water is available only for a few hours in the morning; and because Saputara is a hill station, it is perpetually cold. So you understand the difficulty in not having constant hot water supply. Electricity seemed to be a problem and I did encounter power cuts and voltage fluctuations (Though power is restored within minutes thanks to back up power available at the hotel). The hotel also provides a panoramic view of the entire hills and valleys around the hill station, thanks to an open terrace on the 2nd floor. All in all it was a great experience.
Worthless, dirty place. I will advise everybody not to visit this place. They are cheats . No facility. No maintenance .I do not hav words to describe my unhappiness. I felt cheated. I was let down in front of my family.
