Unhygienic and pathetic Unhygienic and pathetic

We stayed here for one day, since another hotel had accidentally overbooked. The rooms were below average, bathrooms are rundown and the food was of a poor quality, infested with cockroaches. The management is negligent and doesn't care a damn. Please stay away from this place.

The place is situated within Satara. Has average rooms and very few amenities. The upkeep is also quite average. The most appalling part of the stay was the food served. During lunch we found a dead cockroach in our food and alerted the hotel staff, they simply replaced the dish. Next morning we found a live cockroach in the buffet breakfast. On bringing the same to notice of the supposed manager, all he was able to say was you can pen a complain in our complain book. The staff has very poor response to such serious customer complains . Travelers looking for basic hygiene should think twice before booking here.

Expensive Place in Satara but comfortable stay Expensive Place in Satara but comfortable stay

We visited Satara City to visit Kaas plateau to witness the seasonal flowers in the hilly place and decided to stay in Rajtara by booking it over phone. We drove from Mumbai and stayed overnight at Chincholi to see the dancing peacocks in rainy season. Next day, from Chincholi, we drove to Satara using State highways bypassing Pune. We booked a 3 bed deluxe room as we were 3 adults with one teen. The rooms are good and well maintained. Bathroom is okay but no bathtub. Soaps and sampoo provided are of not very good quality compared to the cost of 6K they charge for one night. They have no provision to make tea in the room as the required stuffs which are much very normal in even cheaper hotels around the world are not provided. So in the morning, prepare for no bed tea. Beds are okay and most liked thing is the very low level of noise for a sound sleep. The restaurant is good for both lunch and dinner. We liked both veg and non-veg food. Breakfast is complimentary but you can have limited choices like upma and poha with egg (on request). Staff are good and friendly.

Just ok Just ok

The wife and I stayed overnight at this place on our way to Bengaluru and beyond. The location is easy to identify using GPS. They have decent parking area and the check-in process was quick. The room was decent enough but the wash area felt a little old fashioned with no hot water. We ordered dinner on room service. The veg pulao was a bit sweet but okayish. The egg curry has two boiled eggs in a very watery 'gravy'. Not very appetising. This place can serve as an OK spot for a quick night halt, but not for a long term stay as a vacation place.

Food Festival on Gavran Chicken Biryani Food Festival on Gavran Chicken Biryani

1. I had gone to Rajtara's Food Festival on Gavran Chicken Biryani made with rural cooking style ( Chuli warcha ). 2. The plate meal was a balance of Pandhra and Tambda Russa, Chicken suka, Egg curry and Biryani with Bhakri and salads. 3. It was wonderfully tasty and sumptuous. 4. The full plate meal (unlimited) costed only Rs. 300 per person . Simply fantastic.
