We had a very nice 2 nights stay at Rosaville. It has a homestay charm, with additional amenities. Those who book should be aware that this is NOT a hotel, but a house that has been converted into a B&B, So please set your expectations accordingly and you will have a good stay. We did not face any problems during our stay. We enjoyed the food prepared. Yes, the menu may be limited but then again, this is not a hotel!. I found the menu to be sufficient as to provide the essential standard range of veg and non-veg dishes. (I did find the snacks to be a bit on the oily side). Also please note that advance notice should be given to the staff for food. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We conversed with them in English and Hindi. The rooms have wood flooring and are very cosy and comes with electric heaters for the cold Shillong nights. (Do read up on the website on the history of the place so that you can appreciate the place a little better). They have 1 suite and 2 Deluxe room in the main building and 2 Deluxe and 2 Standard rooms in the next door Annex, all within a huge sprawling compound. This place can be a bit tricky to locate but Google Maps is accurate in locating the place. IIM Shillong is literally the neighbor to this place. And if it helps, there is an SBI ATM round the corner next to the IIM Shillong entrance, which is about 50 mtrs from the Rosaville gate. All in all, our family had a good time here and we would be recommending this place to family and friends who visit Shillong and want a more quiet stay, away from the main busy roads. Note: They offer wifi but the signal is not strong. I got better signal on my phone using Airtel 4G. Jio was not as effective for me as compared to Airtel (was able to watch Netflix using Airtel 4G) They have TVs with SD Set-Top Box (not HD) in the room, but i did not use it since i had my phone. They have parking for about 3-4 cars, plus addition vehicles can be accommodated in the driveway if needed.
