Away from the hustle bustle Away from the hustle bustle

Located in the lower part of Shimla on the way to the famous Bishop Cotton School. That is one of the areas where old pine trees still exist. The sit out on the terrace is a gr8 place to have your breakfast & soak in the sun. Since I last stayed there it has been expanded with a new wing & a Spa. Plumbing needs to be upgraded. Housekeeping also requires to be made more efficient. There is a pick up & drop facility to the Mall road which is very helpful. Service is good & all the staff is very helpful. The GM Mr. Sharma deserves a special mention.

Rooms arent sucks...service is ok. Too overpriced. Buffet sucks so does ala carte. The only good thing is they provide transfers to mall road. I am definitely not going to this place on my next visit. There are definitely better options.

Nice place but a tad overpriced - not for people who cant eat Indian cuisine! Nice place but a tad overpriced - not for people who cant eat Indian cuisine!

Hotel is tucked away in New Shimla. My fiancee, who is a Philippines national, and I stayed in a standard / deluxe room. It was a nice room - functional, clean, with a quaint wood paneling on the floor and walls to give it an old world feel and a wall paper / paint (could never make that out) that looked as if it were peeling but on closer inspection turned out to have a pattern! The surroundings are beautiful, with a moss covered drive straight up the hill. The view from the room was pine trees and a hill side looking away from Shimla. Cute!! The bathroom is minimalistic, the shower fittings could have been better, but overall the shower was nice and comfortable. The rose garden in the middle of the hotel is cute and quaint, and their lounge is wonderful to sit and enjoy. The spa is quite good. Shimla itself has quite a few attractions to offer to tourists, with the most prominent being the visits to the Mall and the Ridge with its numerous attractions (more on them in another review), visit to the local temples (beware of the monkeys at Jakhu temple!), Annadale museum, and trips to Mashobra, Naldehra, and Fagu / Kufri etc. Food at the hotel is just tolerable. Anyone who cannot eat a predominantly spicy North Indian cuisine will not enjoy the stay here. The Chinese and Continental cuisines mentioned in their menu are definitely not Chinese and Continental - we ordered Hakka noodles and were served something that I cannot describe as Hakka noodles at all - there was nothing remotely Chinese about those noodles! And they said Thai, though mentioned, is not available! The breakfast buffet is also predominantly Indian in taste, anyone else can just eat toast and omelettes! Good destination for Indian tourists, but can be trying for international tourists. Tad expensive. The staff was very nice, and smoothened our interactions and helped a lot. The hotel would be quite a nice experience if they upgraded their decrepit hotel van to something more suited to their rates, and if they would employ a chef who knew international cuisine!

The property is situated in new shimla approx.4 kms from Mall road. The room we stayed was super deluxe room on 3rd floor.Room was well appointed with all required amenities.View was not great but only good from window. Housekeeping service was average only, had to call twice/thrice on an average. Food was good but a little expensive.Room service was prompt. Buffet was not worth its price. Staff was well mannered and courteous. Daily one drop and one pick up from mall road was provided by hotel.
