Hotel Gulmarg, Shimla is just a walking distance from the bus stop very convenient. The staff were helpful and sincere in their work. Our well being is their first priority. We of course dine outside, as such could not comments regarding fooding service. I recommended fellow travellers to try Hotel Gulmarg and avail off their good services.

I would sum up my experience with Hotel Gulmarg, Shimla under following headings: 1. Access to the hotel: The hotel is located at a strategic location and is within 1 Km from Mall road and Shimla Railway Station. You need not take a lift to reach Mall Road and the same is just 5-7 mins walk away. I checked out on 14th Dec'14 morning in the midst of heavy snowfall in Shimla.I had booked a taxi to railway station the day before from the travel desk of the hotel. However, due to heavy snow , the travel desk refused to provide any taxi, fearing chances of skidding. I had my 3 year old son (along with luggage )with me and was in a fix on how to reach station. The travel desk however was cooperative enough to arrange for a porter. I could reach the railway station on time ,walking the entire way, only because the station was just 1 km away. So a big thumbs up for the location of the hotel. 2. Cleanliness: Not up to the mark. However, considering the budget price , the Cleanliness can be ignored to an extent. 3. Rooms: Horrible. Very very small rooms with no outside view. You feel claustrophobic and trapped in a box. Besides, mirrors all round , even on the ceiling , with bright colour bed sheets is a big let down. The quilt was not even covered and was shabby. 4. Front desk: Was OK and staff generally cooperative. 5. Food & Room Service: I did not order any food and preferred to eat out in open rather than in that claustrophobic space.The prices , however , were quite reasonable. 6.Parking: A very big plus for this hotel as there are may hotels in Shimla that are not DRIVE In and does not have a parking space. 7. Overall feedback: Barring the rooms which were quite small and dingy and in the basement with no outside view, the hotel is OK considering it to be a budget hotel and its location.

It was a good hotel to stay but the neatness was not proper in the hotel, guest had kept their clothes for drying on the stairs and it was not looking good.

Rooms were not properly cleaned. Bedsheets and towels were changed only on demand.

Very pathetic service this hotel. No power backup option in this hotel. Hotel staff is not supported .Staff talking very rudely to hotel customer.Overall this is not a good hotel so please before booking please see carefully.

I went their with my friends. Well hotel staff co-operated very well by allowing Free early check-in, but rooms were awkward. There were mirrors all over even on the ceilings. It may be good for couples but with friends its awkward. Rooms are neat and clean. And stuffs in rooms are in good working condition like tv and geyser etc. Remember, do check-in in upper half of hotel, those rooms are big and they have valley view. Deluxe and semi deluxe rooms are suffocating, avoid them.

I arrived in Shimla early morning, did not have much time to look so booked this online and arrived at the hotel as it was walking distance from the bus stand. I knocked at their gate for many times, no one responded. I knew I was early for check-in but I thought I could stay in the reception till its time. It was around 7 in the morning. When I finally found the main reception area and entered, there was no one there. It was dark and I figured the staff was sleeping in the corner, I informed them I have booked the hotel for the day and I could stay, to which he rudely answered "Come at 12". I said I will come at the mentioned time, but if there is a luggage room where I could leave my bags, the second time he responded harshly "Can't you understand if told once, come later". I wouldnt have minded if they were mannerly in informing the same, but they were very rude and disrespectful. I have never seen anyone respond this rude to a guest at their hotel. I decided I will lose the money I paid for it but never stand there for a minute, so I left the place, walked around and found another place which costed twice the amount of Gulmar Regencyg, but it did not matter at that time. With the bad customer service that you guys offered, I even informed the the travel website about how terrible your service was, I hope they take you down from their site. Teach your staff how to treat their customers. Ammu palace: Booked this place for my parents during their visit to Chennai, place was okay and budget friendly, nothing great. The maintenance needs to be improved as the AC did not work too well. They were okay with the stay, but did not seem too comfortable.

This is not so good hotel to stay as room are not so well maintained and food was not tasty as we have to go out to have good food and we have ask for things again and again to have and staff is also not so polite Overall not reccommended
