We recently stayed @ Manla Homes..... Hotel location, rooms are good but the room service & staff is not proper & the food is worst.... And the restaurant is situated far from rooms.... you have to walk for 5-10 minutes to have food and you have to wait another hour for your order................!!!!!!!
This place is a little bit outside Shimla area, but a very good place to stay and enjoy the hills. We have stayed between 30th Jan to 1st Feb 2017 with family and really enjoyed the place. Rooms are well maintained and the food quality is awesome. Like to come here again.
This was my second visit to the property due to its awesome location/tariff and i found quite a change in the place. Compared to my last visit in 2012 the number of rooms have almost doubled but quality of service expected was not upto the mark. The linen was dirty and so were the washrooms. Somehow the HK team managed to provide ys a room heater post calling them 10 times. The potatoes in Tandoori Aloo was raw and when complained room service said its like that only. I had a great experience during my previous visit and was boasting about the same to all my friends due to which we all decided to stay in this property but all were disappointed. Hope the staff improves the quality of service as per the given feedback. Room-4 Food-4 Cleaning-3 Staff Attitude-4 Location-5
Always decide what you have to achieve while you travel in winters to such Hill stations. My friend advised that Airtel ad featured Mashobra and we decided to stay here, little mistake of not doing our homework well. It's a typical resort, with independent cottages(bunglows) and also main bldg with spa and recreation and rooms as well. Away from habitat about 20kms from Shimla, after passing thru Shimla we travelled thru....and thru and finally reached here. Much down hill of Shimla with no snow, but only cold and heavy winds. Frankly ladies with us were most uncomfortable. This was besides frequent power failure, it also seems that the resort has a policy to switch off the power between 2 am to 5.30 am and you are left freezing. They attributed this to generator failure as electricity supply got hampered due to heavy snow fall in Shimla city. They said they have 4 gensets and surprisingly all konked off at the same time. Well we were here just for 2 nights, I pity the staff. Staff was friendly and food was good, Good Idly,Wada, Poha, non-veg etc, but typical stuff nothing local (well good parathas-acknowledged), exclusive or exotics. Staff was friendly and GM was very accommodative. He made me and my one friend very comfortable as we were last minute gate crashers to the trip. I can only request the policy makers, the owners, to ensure uninterrupted supply of power in the name of humanity, as sizable staff of yours is not very local. Advice to travellers, make sure to get what you deserve. This place is very far from Shimla, thou you can see Shimla on the hills from here, you should get your own transport. Public transport is just name sake, morning one bus and evening one bus. Finally, you are neither in Shimla nor in Mashobra but you and your fate hangs in valley...;-)
The good reviews are always based on good experience and satisfaction with the service and I am very much disappointed with the staff behaviour and food Quality of the hotel is so cheap that in our Mumbai the vada paav is better specially the general manager of the resort has no ethics and manners to talk very bad will not sugest the hotel at all
