Royal Orchid Shimoga is a great hotel and decision to stay there was good. The room was very clean and well furnished. Food served at Royal Orchid was just excellent. New year party organised at hotel was good. I would recommend this hotel to any one who wants to stay in Shimoga.
It was a surprise when I entered the room in shimoga, the rooms are on par with 5 star hotel in any of the metro cities.Very clean, all possible facilties are provided in the room like LED TV, tea coffee maker, mini bar, woodden flooring, iron box, super soft beds, neat bedspreds and modern bathroom fittings. I really njoyed the stay and this hotel provides absolute value for money.
Hotel is a relatively new property and the stay was very pleasant. It is centrally located and easily accessible. Staff needs a special mention- they were very courteous. Shimoga is quite well located near a lot of tourist options. Overall a very good option
The room was neat and comfortable. The bathroom was compact and clean. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet were good. The food in other restaurants were also good.

It's a good one...A best in Shimoga... The interiors are well furnished and neatly stocked... The rooms are neat and the food is Awesome... but the receptionists can be a bit more friendly... The WiFi speed is good... Had a good stay...i recommend this hotel for business trips to Shimoga...
Nice hotel with good ambience , did not expected such a fine service in town like Shimoga. Started with smooth check-in with indian Mango Mock tail . Ambience , Room, food everything was very good , specially breakfast . Staff are courteous and humble. Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. Over all very good experience, will defiantly stay in future.
In December, 2016 my wife and I visited Shimoga and stayed at the Royal Orchid Hotel for a total of 4 nights. We found the staff, both Hotel & Restaurant, very helpful and courteous. The rooms were very nice & the Hotel itself was kept neat & tidy. We would particularly like to thank the F & B Manager Mr Jyothi Xavier, Mahendra Singh Dhoni(Restaurant) along with Mousthasa, Ramesh & Deepa for making our stay such a memorable one. The day we left the hotel and were travelling to GOA by road, our private hire car was involved in an unfortunate road accident. A car took us back to the Royal Orchid whilst we organised a replacement vehicle and the hotel staff couldn't have been more concerned & helpful towards us, so we thank them very much for that. So, if you're ever travelling to Shimoga India, we suggest that you stay at the Royal Orchid Hotel. Regards, John & Maureen Deer(Australia)
it is one of the smaller royal orchid property.. Very conveniently located in town of Shimoga.. Goods and Bads are: 1) Rooms are decently sized 2) No swinmming pool 3) Good Buffet options 4) For us it was a smooth check in , but saw some confusion going in after we checked in .. 5) Need to book in advance as it gets full very fast 6) Good house keeping service! Over all a recommended stay
This hotel be best avoided for family or couple travellers. It's hassles galore right from check-in till the check-out. Staff are not trained for good service but geared towards reminding guests towards charges at every step. Food quality was poor in Pinxx and there was hair found inside roti in Tiger thrill. The staff seems to be very eager to get good feedback when things are going good but ran away there was bad service or hair laced food served. E.g. the chief chef - Anil Tiwari. In SHORT BEST To AVOID THIS HOTEL.
