One of the best resort i have ever been into. One of the best resort i have ever been into.

I visited this place in the month of June, This resort is beautifully nestled in between Himalayas with Indus river flowing on its side. Its around 10-11kms from sonmarg (NH-1 Leh Srinagar Highway)and easily accessible from Srinagar . The tents are very comfortable and relaxing and extremely neat . The staff is on its toes 24x7 . Food is excellent with a large variety. Its worth every penny.

Gorgeous Location, Great People Gorgeous Location, Great People

We stayed at the Ahsan Mount Resort in June 2015. Many a times when travelling to a destination, you come across a beautiful place that you wish you could stay, because it's better than the destination itself. Well, Ahsan Mount Resort is once such place. Located about 15-20 kms before Sonmarg, this place is nestled in a valley, with the Indus river and forest on one side, and a hill on the other. The location is just gorgeous. you can hear the roar of the Indus river all the time. the water is clear, and teems with trout. you can spend endless hours fishing (the hotel can provide you a fishing rod with bait) and if you're lucky, you'll catch one. on the other side is a hill that has a stream. you can climb up, and drink the cool refreshing water, with mint leaves that grow alongside the stream. in the evening, they arrange for campfires, which you can sit around, enjoying the warmth, and chatting with fellow guests. Sonmarg is just about half an hour away; the hotel can arrange for vehicles to take you to Sonmarg and around. The owner, Minam, is a wonderful person. He's courteous and more than wiling to accomodate your requests. The staff is equally friendly and helpful. The tents epitomise glamping (glamorous camping). spacious, thickly carpeted, with great beds, warmers and electric blankets. they also have flat screen television with Tata Sky. Bathrooms are attached with hot and cold water. house keeping is efficient and friendly. Food is good (though it might be too spicy for some). I'd recommend you just spend a day here doing nothing, just take in the surroundings and do some fishing or read a book perhaps. Much better than doing all the running around the touristy circuits. Dream location. Must visit.. Book in Advance.

An overpriced crap resort An overpriced crap resort

After looking on the Internet, we decided to book this place as it looked right In the middle of nature .. kind of glamping. We chose the all inclusive package. All of us used different online hotel booking sites to make our reservations but on checking in, the hotel wouldn't accept the cleartrip voucher of my friend. They said the booking wasn't confirmed despite my friend having a valid voucher from a reputable site like cleartrip. The manager of the resort refused to accommodate or take any responsibility for this issue and asked us to deal with cleartrip directly. In the end, my friend had to book another hotel close by. It was absolutely not hospitable of the resort management. Now for the tented rooms....they weren't ready for check In and we're just given to us as is. The rooms were dirty with flies all over and dirty sheets laid out. No towels and an empty mini bar..disgusting! Despite repeatedly telling the manager as well as the owner, to have fresh sheets put in, they took no action. I finally had to get hold of staff, pay him Rs 500 and have fresh sheets. Then during dinner time we had no service as the entire staff was Dancing around the IG of police , who was also checked into the same resort. Being an extensive teavelker, this was perhaps the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life. The next day things got worse. For dinner we were served left overs of last night! Can you imagine? Paying Rs.12000 a night for such crap food and service are better off staying at a cheaper hotel who actually understand the meaning of hospitality. Ahsan mount will be your worse choice ever. If you do want to enjoy the location, go have lunch there and leave. Don't waste your money as it's totally not worth it!

What a place....Best tent stay ever possible...Surprised to find such a hidden gem and that too in india... Owners know what quality of an outdoor can stay be...Heavily insulated tents to keep the cold chill away, arranging a hike to the mountain, lovely food and the brilliance of the location....Just a super place Enjoyed the bonfire and also the tranquility of the place .... Must stay

It is a joke It is a joke

Left a very bad taste in the mouth. The pictures have definitely been edited in Photoshop. The rooms were not clean, the bed linen was disgusting to look at. The staff was ridiculous and not helpful at all. The manager was a joke. The food was comparable to B grade Indian wedding food. Stay at this resort only if everything else is booked. Not worth it. My worst stay at any place ever.
