There was no service, quality of room was much below average standards.
Room in the hotel was small & bed was uncomfortable. The service was below average. Dining option was pathetic, people over there do not know whats buffet system & there was no options in menu. We just had 2 choice of food which was incomplete & bad in taste.
hotel is good but need more managing. Cleanliness not ok, hotwater supply not proper. Staff very friendly.
Over all hotel is good within the city but quality of food is average
CONVENIENT LOCATION, CLEAN ROOMS GOOD SERVICE. Approach road surrounded car workshops is the only negative feature. Overall good place to stay in.

This is the worst hotel I have seen in my life. We had to spent two nights (22 and 23 June 2016) in this hotel. It was a horror. We had to wait at the front desk from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm at the reception for check in, because there were already around 25 people gathered and the front office was not able to allocate rooms. Without seeing my booking receipt they told us to wait. I requested to speed up process and we have an 18 month old baby we have to prepare food for him and prepare him for sleep as we were tired after long travel. But no avail. The front office guys attitude didnt allow them to check my booking receipts and they thought I am a part of the long queue waiting there for check-in. I lost my patience after waiting for 1 hour and had to raise my voice to invite their attention. They took my booking receipt and they informed me that as per their record I had no booking in their hotel. This is a shame for Trip Advisor and Booking.com. Lastly after several rounds of their internal discussion, they arranged one top floor 3rd class room for us. It was really a nightmare for us and my wife was literally went upset seeing the room and the facilities inside. Fan was not properly working and it was too hot. None of the facilities informed on the website (booking.com) while was not available in the property. I can write a horror story in many volumes about the unprofessional services and the backwardness in the management of the hotel, however, due to my the restrictions, I want to write check-in and check-out examples. I made the payment through my credit card and they were not ready to give me the original receipt. After my objection they gave me a copy. I insisted for the original bill and they told me that they have to retain original copy to submit to booking.com. It was too funny ! Then I had to deliver a lecture to convince that gentleman at the front desk that it was a simple accounting practice to give receipt to the person from whom you receive payment. I really think the hotel management should give some sort of training to all the guys at the front desk. The most interesting fact is, even after all these ridiculous situation and difficulties they served to me, wife and our baby, there was not even a simple word of apology while we leaving nor a good bye !I strongly recommend TripAdvisor and Booking.com for a direct feedback survey to de-list worst properties. I am writing this because I read some good reviews about the property, however, when I visited the property my experience was different. Also, I had two other properties during my trip to Kashmir and both were excellent. One I booked thru booking.com and another thru a different vendor.
Hi guys. This is one of the most pathetic hotels that I have booked through makemytrip. Cost-2200.mmt offer-1400. Not even worth giving a star to this hotel. Pros:- still thinking Cons:- 1)took the hotel 45 min for my check in . Then I was told to wait for another 30 min as the room was not ready. Interiors were poor. Toilets were dirty. 2) entered the room and found the toilet flush wasn't working and there was no water through the sink tap. 3) as I had a long day travel I needed a bath. I checked into the room around 3:30-4 pm. To my surprise there was no hot water. I called up the reception and asked them abt it. They replied that hot water comes only from 7-12 in the morning. I queried what if a person makes a late check in and needs a shower. To my surprise he replied "even we take shower in cold water. Aap bhi le lijiye"( which I unfortunately had to). I was shocked and told them you are running a hotel not a sulabh shauchalay. I went down to talk to the owner of the hotel. And to my surprise even he was obstinate. He was explaining me that even 5* hotels don't provide hot water after certain time during the day. I understood it was useless to carry on the discussion any further. This is a hotel run by amateurs. I will certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank God I only had a one night stay here. Run Run Run as far as possible away from this hotel.
It is a very bad hotel and does not give any basic amenity promised..we stayed for 3 days as we had no other choice.. There is water crisis in the hotel.. No proper fans..wifi not working.. One plus point is that it is opposite Sri Krishna Vaishno dhaba which is a wonderful dhaba to eat in Srinagar
This is near dal lake. Our tour planner first booked Nishant view for us. as some renovations were taking place in that hotel, he again booked this city plaza for us.We reached there at 6:00 p.m. from sonmarg. It takes almost an hour to confirm our booking, after that there is some problem with another coustmer who is not vacating the room with extra bed ,that manager want to give us. At 7:30 we were asked to take room in 4th floor. As my in laws are with me and they are not able to climb 4th floor ,we asked one room in first floor as they were doing some maintenance work of lift, but that was also not done. soon after that there were no electricity and my in laws had to wait in reception until 9:00 p.m.. After that they served us dinner, that was too spicy and not good in taste also. In the room there was no hot water supply until 6:30 in the morning and the bathrooms are not properly cleaned, so we have to use cold water in the night. In the morning , we have to leave for airport at 7:00 a.m. again we had to take bath with cold water only . T.v. was there but cable connection was not recharged (missed the final of IPL match ). It was done after 10:30 p.m. Breakfast is included in our booking , so we asked them to just served tea and bread, as they served breakfast after 7:30 a.m. as soon as we open the lid of container having bread in it ,was smelling badly and we saw breads are spoiled and had fungus. We asked them to bring fresh bread and again he just toasted the same bread and served us. We have to asked another family ( small kid is also with them) not to eat that bread. When we were leaving, i saw one of staff was bringing fresh bread from market. it was really a bad experience in our whole kashmir tour.
Hotel is an affordable budget hotel which is centrally located and very close to Dal Lake and Lal Chowk. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Hotel staff was helpful and allowed late checkin without any hassle. The main plus point is its proximity to Dal Lake
