I have lived in this hotel twice - Sep 2014 and June 2017. Hotel is located walking distance from Dal Lake. Has nice and clean rooms. Hotel is at very peaceful location. Food is also very good. Best thing about the hotel is the courtesy of staff and helping nature. Feels home away from home. We were stuck in Srinagar when there was heavy flood in Sep 2014. We were completely cut off and there was no food supply. The way Hotel staff managed the scarce resources and helped everyone was commendable. They even did not take payment from us at that time as they thought we might need it as ATM weren't working. Highly recommend it.

The place is very calm and serene. Dal lake is very nearby to the hotel and can be visited anytime for hangout. Staff is very cooperative and well mannered... absolutely safe for women visitors ! Auto-stand is nearby... One can explore local sights easily by picking an auto in reasonable charges !

This was the first hotel we stayed in Srinagar. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food was very tasty and all of us were happy with it. Mr Suhail the Manager was very helpful and helped us with good suggestions and guidance. He helped us with a great taxi too. Overall satisfied with our 2 day stay in Grand Jigar

Hotel grand Jigar Srinagar is a nice hotel to stay near dal lake. Allthough dal lake is not visible from the hotel , it's just a few minute walk if you take the Lhasa lane near ghat 8. the approach road to the hotel is bad but doesn't affect vehicle movement. There's is no sign board of hotel but remember it's near hotel pine which is at the end of Lhasa lane. The hotel has ample parking space. It's spread over three floors , doesn't have lift. Rooms are good , moderate size. Clean & maintained. Few rooms on the front gives good view. Sleep quality is good . The hotel provides electric blankets & heater if you ask for. Washroom comes with geyser but there's a lot of power issues in Srinagar . So hot water doesn't available all the time . Hotel staff are well behaved & courteous, ready to help but kind a novice, lack professional touch. Room service food is OK & can be tried nothing exceptional, reasonably priced. If you want to eat out lots of options are available near dal lake, few cheap options are also available near the hotel . Travel services available at the hotel, they can arrange airport pickup, sightseeing, if you ask for. Rate wise good at par with market. This hotel is recommended. For best prices you may search online. Anything below rs 2000 is worth.

We stayed in the hotel for four days in may 2016. it was good hotel with all basic amenities. The rooms were clean n spacious. 24 hours service of warm water, electricity n wi- fi . The staff were helpful n supportive. They had given best n quick room service.The best thing was the hotel was located walking distance from dal lake. The only drawback of this hotel was they only serve paranthas n toast in breakfast . They have to give more variety in breakfast . Dinner was delicious with good variety . We had a good stay in hotel .

Demo Trip Prefer to take rooms either on ground floor or 1st floor because the hotel do not have lift.
