i visited on 18th November 2015, with my family, its situated at lonely and quite place near nagina lake, the serenity and view is breath taking, and you can enjoy more if you are introvert, you will get full cooperation and zero disturbance by the owner and staff,
I visited this place along with my friends and have stayed there for about 4 days. We never felt like we were on a vacation...it was simply awesome and a feel at home place. If I had an option I would give 100 stars to FEROZ for his hospitality and company. Besides taking care of the tour, these guys were too caring and was @service 24/7. Whenev I visit kashmir the next time...I bet I will not think of any other place. Thanks a lot @feroz:) c u soon.
This was the best guest house, I have stayed till date. Owner Mr. Farooz is very helpful n friendly. He was wonderful in hospitality and affection. Rooms were very clean and our trip became momrable. Mr. Farooz himself took us to gulmarg, pahalgam etx. He was like an elder brother and helped us a lot. I will rate it 10 out of 10
My wife and I visited Kashmir for the first time, from 11 Dec 2015 to 16 Dec 2015, and stayed at a wonderful yet simple homestay called Privilege Guest House. Our host Mr. Feroz (Farooz) Baktoo took personal care of us throughout our stay, from the airport on arrival to the airport for departure. He personally took us to Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonemarg, and around Srinagar, and made sure that we enjoyed in every possible way to the fullest. He also helped us with some great shopping. The homestay is a cute bungalow close to Nigeen Lake. No spectacular views from the rooms, but then we didn't need any! Our room was excellent, and it really felt like we were at home. The housekeeping was impeccable. The service was outstanding. The food was excellent considering that this is a homestay. Despite the intense cold and long drives and hectic days from early mornings to late evenings, we did not feel tired at all, in fact we felt so fresh and alive throughout the trip. Any slept soundly and comfortably each night. The personal touch and care of Feroz and his staff indeed made our trip memorable. Our sincere and affectionate thanks to Feroz and his staff. and we look forward to being with with him in our future trips to Srinagar.
We paid 750 Rs a day to the owner. And for what we paid, this place was far more worthy. The man who runs it "faroz bakhtoo" is a gentleman. It is his family business and thus guests are well looked after. I write this after 12 days in kashmir and this clearly being the most honest of stays we had without getting ripped off. The rooms are clean and regularly done. For the breakfast and meals we paid 100rs and 150 Rs respectively. Again the cooking was very homely and extremely value for money. We even looked forward to staying in their houseboat which is very well done. But sadly our schedule did not permit it. There is a wifi available on request. Not the strongest but gets ur job done. Overall it was a wonderful stay. But if you are an Indian tourist and in Srinagar for those 2-3 days or if you are looking to save money on rickshaws and transport. This may not be the best place. It offers the calm and quiet of nigeen lake guest houses. But it is very far from all the places you would wanna see or the eating hubs of khayam chowk and dal lake. Then again that is not the most important thing but on a short stay u would rather be around there. The owner tried very hard to help us get decent deals on rickshaws and not get ripped off by then. Unfortunately every single time we ended up paging 150-200 for rickshaw rides to various places of food joints on our list. There is a slight selling you things at the guest house but it is very mild and nowhere in Kashmir u can escape that. Having said so, this is absolutely a comfortable place for families. If you happen to rent their car or have a vehicle of your own then this is the place to stay. Far but peaceful. Otherwise, you are spending a lot of rickshaw and shikara's. On the nigeen lake side the shikara's are pretty expensive. Stay here because the owner is a very nice and accommodating to your needs.
