If uv option, don't even think of staying in this hotel. If u don't have an option for hotel in Pakhiralay in Sundarban den better cancel ur tour. The manager is drunk n d owner busy organising folk programmes in d hotel. The owner also sings at those programme but hardly cares abt the guests. We booked an AC room in this hotel in monsoon. The AC was not working for the two days we spent there. Repeated requests didn't help. The bathroom is equally scary n terribly dirty. None of the staff will come to help u. The manager is forever drunk. The AC rooms have strange insects, which gave us rashes. Yes, its a big property but not maintained at all. Only good thing is its close to d jetty... Only one minute walking distance. But wud request everyone who visits Sundarban with friends or family.... Just find other hotels n never put up here. God bless.

Good good things about the hotel - 1. Proximity to jetty 2. Nice place to have a camp fire 3. Clean bathrooms Everything else about the place is bad.Staff is clueless and manager is useless. Owner is not much concerned. You wont get mineral water. They provide local drinking water in jugs and old mineral water bottles. Even you ask they will not give. Lack of preparation for customers is evident. Even the items that they have will be provided only if you ask like toiletries, towel, tea kettle etc. you can looking for the staff, shout at them, whatever you do staff response is extremely slow. Govt servants or others who needs to claim the expenditure please check required hotel documents before checking in. You might get a shock later

Property is big but at this price hotels in dayapur are far better. They only try to charge money for every cause. If u want ac in day time though it is extra charges about 200 per hour per room but that depend on their mood too u have to convince them that u badly need that Ac, and the 2-3 staff members are clueless about their duties and most of the times remains unheard for such a simple order of water in the room. Most of the times you have to search for hotel staff member in the hotel for any need and you will not found any of them in the hotel premises. Hotel manager is Mama of hotel owner and may all other waiters are mama of that manager nobody their is bother for the customer only pros are room and bathroom were clean and ac worked good in night till 5 am

We planned a visit to sundarban in January 2015. We went upto Godkhali. From there we crossed the river and landed in Gosaba island. We had a friend there who arranged this hotel there for us ( group of 12 people) . We were surprised to find a decent property like this there. This is at pakhiralaya , back side of Gosaba. It is a new hotel. It has a decent dining place and resturant. on the backyard of hotel it has a makeshift jetty for parking boats which will take you to other parts of sundarban. Alternatively you can board boats from pakhiralaya bazar which is 5 minutes walk from this hotel. Pakhiralaya bajar is besides the pakhiralaya jetty.
