I have travelled across the 40 countries in the world but it was the worst experience I ever had in my life. Room facility and food package was alright but the staff was totally illiterate and rude. They didn't have any courtesy for the client. The check out experience was totally disaster. Certainly I do not recommend this hotel for others.
Hotel is located in the heart of the city. Our room was clean and spacious with all the facilities. The service provided by the staff was wonderful. Also the food was superb in taste. We are satisfied.
Very helpful hotel with very efficient express laundry service. Out 8th floor room had great view of the Big Temple.

This is a very poorly managed hotel The food in the restaurant is pathetic and not worth the money They expect payment for food everytime you order (even for a glass of milk) The a/c remote does not function, there is no fan regulator Definitely DO NOT SUGGEST THIS HOTEL TO anyone visiting tanjavoor
It was assumption that Oriental towers was one of the best hotels in Tanjore. But that was shattered once I had an opportunity to stay there for a night. Check-in was smooth. The room was decent sized, but what was weird is that the ceiling was really low. I was even afraid to raise my hands afraid of getting hurt by the fan. Apart from that room was all comfy. No Problems faced. The complimentary breakfast was the real downer. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but They will get food from outside upon order. The stay was quite fine, but I think my expectations spoiled it. If you want to stay in Tanjore, there are better hotels for this tariff.
Standing majestically in Thanjavur, the multi storied Hotel Oriental Towers offers a breath taking view of Thanjavur heritage town. I was on a tour of Tamilnadu and in Thanjavur, Oriental Towers was the best place to stay. We had a great time there as the staff and facilities were very good. Rooms were large. Massage rooms and swimming pool was used by us often. A variety of restaurants offering a vast fare. Overall _ Very Good.
This is a old hotel with good reception area and rooms not bad but ok. Stayed only one night. Location is good but maintenance needs to be improved. Restaurant is ok. Breakfast was good. Vegetarian thali was ok. Best thing was nice view of big temple from balcony.
I stayed at this hotel for a day on a college tour. The lobby of the hotel doesn't look too bad with a large winding staircase and woodwork. One of the two lifts wasn't working. The single working lift was very slow and stopped working at some point during our stay, so we had to climb the eight floors to our room. Our room had a double bed and a single mattress on the floor, a small flat screen TV on one corner and a small round table with two chairs. The bathroom came with a weird looking bathtub that was painted silver. There is no health faucet, however toilet paper was provided along with basic toiletries such as soaps, toothbrushes and razors. The bed wasn't very clean and we found spots on the sheets. The windows on one side opened to face a building and on the other side we had a view of Tanjore city. We could also see the pool below which was devoid of water and surrounded by drying laundry. Complementary breakfast was provided in a hall on the second floor. The hall was a tacky green colour filled with plastic chairs and tables. The breakfast contained South Indian food that was passable at best. The hotel website boasts of many amenities which were all present however rundown and filthy The only saving grace of the hotel was its restaurant Red Ruby which is fairly modern with good food. Overall the hotel is poorly maintained and looks like it hasn't been updated in a decade. It is passable for a short stay.
