We had visited the restaurant Les Repas during my visit to my hometown. The Thali meals was of good value, ranging from soup starters to the fruit salad ice cream. They also had a baby chair to accommodate our young toddler. Waiters were friendly and offered the best choices in the menu for dining. They also have a large pool area surrounded with a lush garden which was ideal for relaxation. Looking forward to visit again in the future.
We had booked in here for three nights. On arrival the staff on reception were apathetic to say the least. There was some attempt at a traditional Indian welcome but it had no sincerity. Our room was pretty dire. The furniture and decor need serious attention. I am used to beds in India being hard but this was very very hard as was the pillow. We went to the pool area which is quite pleasant and ordered some beers. They never came. There was no bottled water in our room so we requested some. It never came. We went down to the soulless restaurant and asked for a gin and tonic. We were told that the only alcohol they serve is beer or sweet red wine. We returned to our room and got room service as we has some wine we had purchased in Pondicherry. The thought of eating in here for a further two nights was depressing but we thought we'd tough it out. After a very noisy night due to the AC and a lot of loud music being played from about 5 am, we went down to breakfast. Another horrible experience including some butter that tasted totally rancid, but my husband says he has had this once before in India. I never have and hope I never do again. We checked out!! In fairness reception said they would refund the other two nights through Agoda. We shall see!!
Very kind and professional staff in reception and restaurant as well. The room was very nice and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good and so was the service. The beer much too expensive. (Double price compared to other hotels).
We stayed at Parisutham. Great position right in the middle of city, we were able to walk along the big temple , lots of little shops and cafes. The hotel was lovely, warm welcome, we had a garden room, big comfy bed, very clean, tea, coffee and water complimentary, also mini bar, big bathroom with hot water. We had dinner in the garden just perfect, lovely food and service a great end to our holiday. We had an early start 6am but the staff were there to give us juice. Dinner with cultural dance, excellent at lovely pool.
Not at all happy. Looks they are living on their past glory. The renovation is over due. There are better hotels nearby for a little extra amount . The lobby was lifeless and there were some garlands kept for visitors but none to welcome ...
