In Malvan, you should stay at a resort only if you plan to spend the entire day relaxing in the room, on the hammock, in front of the beach. If you have planned a lot of activities like Scuba, Water sports, Fort visit, etc. you should prefer cheap homestays as you'll be only spending the night for sleeping. Also, if you're a couple or solo, then resorts are good. For large male groups, this is not practical. I visited Malvan alone for 4 days and 3 nights. On days when i had planned day activities i preferred home stays. On the last day, I just wanted to relax. So was looking for beach front resort. Was just looking around for such places on a rented scooter and happened to see this place in Devbag. I asked them if I can see the rooms facing beach and they showed the room 003. The moment i stepped in, I decided this was the place. I checked in on 13th and checked out on 14th November in a non-AC room. In the night I kept the window open and slept like a baby to the soothing sounds of waves crashing on the beach. The bed was quite comfortable. In the morning, had breakfast and relaxed on the hammock. Afterwards, went into the sea and played around for good 30-45 minutes. I had got a pretty good deal on the room, so didn't care about room service and anyways I didn't order food in this resort as there are cheaper alternatives nearby. There is good food available in Salgaonkar resort, next to this resort. Just take a stroll on the beach and afterwards have your breakfast there.

Got cheated at the Hotel Got cheated at the Hotel

I had stayed at this hotel along with my wife and two kids for 3 days and 2 nights. We had ordered fish thali 3 or 4 times at this hotel. I was overcharged for the food. I was charged around Rs 150 more than the price I was told when I had ordered the thali for every thali. Also, had to wait for more than an hour for the food on couple of occasions. Few other issues which we faced - TV remote was not working, light in the bathroom was very dim.

Most Faltu Hotel Most Faltu Hotel

We visited this so called hotel on 19th May 2017 and checked out on 20th May 2017. Inspite of booking room in advance by paying 50% advance We were told to shift to another hotel having room without sea facing which was very disappointing and irritating as we got confirmation after paying advance for sea facing room only. We were told that AC has got problem when we were 25 Kms near to Hotel. The staff is hopeless and very arrogant having no manner at all . We can call them gundas. The hotel AC and TV were not working and not repaired till night because of which We were forced to spent night in another hotel having no sea facing. The staff members and Mr.Arvind who confirmed the booking found to be shameless people as we found them not only arrogant but having no courtsey at all to express sorry even after causing us lot of mental & physical stress and inconvenience. I will not recommend this class less so called hotel to anybody. There are so many good hotels with sea facing locations in Tarkarli.

Very poor house keeping. Average quality food. Toilet having Cockroaches. Room service is very poor. Compare to all above the room tariff during peak period was more than 5500/- per day which is very high. only good thing is that the hotel is on sea shore.
