Stayed here two night with my parents (who are senior) last weekend. The hotel seems pretty popular with marriage and office workshop/gathering set, as both the days, it was pretty crowded and bustling with people.
The checkin was far from smooth, since there was no one to help with the luggage from our vehicle to the reception and from there to the room! the excuse was, the staff was having lunch.
Since someone else had done the booking on our behalf, there was a some confusion related to room availability, which was sorted out later and finally we got our key.
The antiquated lift, has one of those old style shutters and a heavy door, which slams shut and my folks had to be careful operating it, during the duration of the stay.
The room itself was pleasantly appointed, with a nice soft mattress and 4 poster bed with inbuilt light, the mini bar was filled with selection of eats (all chargable), the washroom was clean, the showers were great. My mom complained that there was no bucket/mug. I asked for an extra bed, and it was a foldable mattress. WIFI worked fine..
The hotel restaurant was under renovation, but room service was available from the menu and ordered in a few times during the stay. The taste/quality was fairly ok, if nothing special.
Breakfast on both days was served in the lobby and was pretty pathetic, the curries were spicy, the uttapams/dosa type thing were undercooked, no fruits to be found and the only decent thing was the run of the mill cornflakes with cold milk. A rather stern look attendant/server, would insist on making the toast and overloading it with butter and cheap fruit jam.
Room service was pretty decent and responsive, but I think it really unravelled in the lobby, where maybe they were new or understaffed and I could see several other disgruntled guests having some exchange with the reception staff.
Checkout was smoother and we had service staff helping us, so an opposite experience from checkin.
Overall, an average stay experience for the price.
If you are expecting good ambience and cosy room this hotel is not for you but if you are looking for quick fix kind of arrangement it's good value for money. Breakfast is not great. Location is good. Staff are good enough.
I stopped over at Sharanam on my way to Ganapatipule. Excellent hotel. You can take the eastern expressway to reach Godbunder. Also Pune Expressway is easily accessible.
The hotel is neat and clean and located at Teenhath Naka Thane West. One should set Teen Hath Naka on their GPS to access the hotel.
The food is good and the rooms are well equipped. An excellent stopover hotel when you are on a long drive.
A quiet place away from hustle and bustle of traffic.
A must stay place.
The location is convenient. Don't go by the marker on Google maps- it's incorrect. The landmark is new RTO and this one is just next to it. Rooms are OK. Need better cleanliness and maintenance. The breakfast served is also average. All in all an average place for the price.
Stayed here for few days in 2015. the room i stayed in was a small one and if there is some party outside the hall it could get noisy. room service was okay and food was excellent. overall it was okay. nothing to complain and nothing exciting..
