Last december I spent two nights in Trivandrum and, while I did not stay at this hotel,I dined there each evening. The hotel is but a short walk from Graceful Homestay where I was staying. Each night the food was served buffet-style and I was very impressed by the sheer variety of food available. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very reasonably priced. It was a superb place to dine on New Year's Eve-my final night in Trivandrum...all-in-all highly recommended....10 out of 10.
A well managed hotel very close to the heart of the city and medical establishments.Value for money meals and buffet, with easy access to public transport set it apart. The weekend buffets and food fests make it a delicious destination even for the local folks.Friendly staff and a fresh decor make it even more appealing
My family which includes my parents, my wife and two kids planned our December trip to Trivandrum and Kanyakumari. We used to book through tripadvisor and already booked hotel temple city at kanyakumari. For Trivandrum, there were different plans. Our relative had booked many rooms for their sons marriage, which was postponed due to the sudden death of their near relative and they were forced to cancel some rooms and insisted us to stay at Hotel Biverah Trivandrum.
We had already conveyed the hotel that we will be reaching by 9th December early morning. Our train from thrissur was cancelled and we hired an innova to reach Trivandrum in the early hours of 9th December to have a nap and head to our first destination the magic planet.
We reached around 4 o clock in the morning, with the help of google map, we could trace the beautiful hotel it was really nice from outside and even from inside. But when we checked in, the security was standing there as a mere security, no one helped us getting our bags. In the front desk also, the people were looking like robots, not even trying to mock a smile. I thought this may be because it is early morning; but I was wrong. The hotel management has put in a lot of money in the infrastructure, but failed in investing in the soft assets like front desk to teach them how to behave to their customers.
So, we had two suits, had a good sleep in the cosy bedrooms (The rooms where the best without any bad smell, with ample sunlight, with cupboards, mini fridge and whatever its upto a 5 star hotel). Suddenly I got a call from my parents that the hot water is not coming I checked our rooms.. yes no hotwater.. called the reception. They said There is a small problem. Please wait for half an hour .we will call you The call never come, I called again after one hour.. they said the problem persists. Later the next day also the problem was not fixed. We were forced to take bath in the cold water only.
I dont understand why they didnt inform us that the hot water system have a problem? They knew its not working and did not inform us or took corrective measures.
We checked in on 9th December 2016 in the morning 4 o clock, and checked out on 10th December 2016 at 8 pm. In the off peak season also, they behaved like butchers and charged for three days X two rooms.
To sum up,
The hotel is a very good property, the management have invested huge money, but we wont recommend to our friends and relatives for a stay there as
The staff, the face of a service industry are a BIG ZERO in the hotel.
Had a night stay at this hotel, hotel close to most attractions in TVM and very close to medical college campus and KIMS.Its a budget hotel with quality service.Even though i had a booking hassle through online booking and as soon reached hotel, reception staffs did a prompt response and took quick decision provided alternatives and accommodated me.Kudos to their reception staffs.
Given room was neat and clean with good view around-but bit small room.
Compliment breakfast was yummy, tasted native dishes after a long, they do serve continental.
There is an attached restaurant at G-Floor serving food, drinks, snacks and pastries.Felt over priced for the food served. I know kerala tea tastes good ,the way prepared makes their tea best but unfortunately i tasted a tasteless liquid called tea in that restaurant.
Overall my stay was good and recommend others.
Plain average hotel with small size basic rooms. Good if you're travelling alone because the bed is too small. However, It does offers good view of the city. Nothing too fancy but it just has all the basic bells and whistles you would expect from a standard hotel.
