The room stank of urine as there were cracks in the toilet bowl so sewage leaked onto the bathroom floor. Old building required urgent maintenance, dirty floor covered in sand and insect eggs, clearly not cleaned since last guest. Rock hard beds couldnt sleep well. Bought dettol in the shop and disinfected entire room before i could sleep as was standing on grains on floor, although there were actually no bed bugs so not sure what the grains were. Powercuts lots more than elsewhere in india. Dodgy socket and fan socket overheated with plastic melting when left on! Newspaper in wardrobe was 10yrs old from when england toured india for cricket! Lots of spider webs etc.which could easily be removed with a quick dust. Could hear other guests loudly when they were talking, running water etc. Positive points: Owner seemed friendly, hanging string for laundry in bathroom, despite being dirty there were adequate screens for mosquitos over the windows, close to shops, restaurants, KFC, etc. And cheap price. The dirtyness and neglect of the rooms could easily be helped with a little attention by sweeping and cleaning floors, dusting etc. Stay here if you are on a budget and don't mind hard beds, powercuts, and dirty rooms. Bedding was clean. Don't stay here if you want a clean room and a comfortable sleep. It is very basic and maybe other rooms werent as dirty as ours but the price was only around 550ruppees a night.
