Room was good. Food and service was pathetic. Veg and non-veg mixed with impunity that put Taj brand name to shame. Almost every veg item had meat mixed in it due to being prepared with same vessels/hands/cutlery alternating with non-veg.

I was on official trip and spend 3 nights here from 12 feb to 14 feb for attending a conference at kovalam. Not much issue with check in, normal delay in handling guests who came earlier. But check out felt really embarrassing, because of improper communication with in their front desk and the account department. My company paid full amount in advance for 3 nights and they were telling me that it is not paid and I need to pay. I told them several times the money is already paid, better check with your accounts. During morning time I felt very difficult to contact my office and get the documents ready. They took nearly 30 minutes to trace out the payment paid from their account department. I wanted to leave the city before the traffic sets in, but all went in vein. Poor communications between their departments. I will praise the buffet breakfast anyway.

Stayed at Taj Vivanta Trivandrum on 30 & 31 Jan 17. Booking on phone and reception on arrival was excellent. However the stay in room deserved a lot for standards of Taj. In room electronic safe was not working. Had to call for assistance twice before being attended to. In room iron was also not working. The staff worked for almost one hour but couldn't rectify it. They finally put the board next to the bed in a restricted space which was difficult to operate. The delay caused me to be late for my appointment. The amenities in the room was also very minimal for standards of Taj The restaurant was however excellent with good food and diverse spread. The service could improve a bit. The checkout was excellent and smooth.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff! The people at the front desk were really nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious! Thanks a lot to the kind lady at the travel desk who helped us so much and took the time to explain many things about India!

I have stayed 3 nights at the hotel. i liked the courtesy and hospitality demonstarted by each and every staff right from security to chef. Swimming Pool and nearby areas were excellent. I would like to mention specially about the food they served. Iam vegan and southindian. all south indian food were tasting great. For example, i ate Puttu and masala which was awesome and never tasted like that before. the hospitality and courteousness of chef, servers and even the restaurant managers (who was personally taking care of guests) were exemplary. The live music played during the dinner time was wonderful.
