I found my stay at Ayuryogashram to be peaceful and uplifting. I was collected from the airport and driven to the beautiful retreat. Here, I found Bindu (office manager) to be most accommodating and the doctors to listen carefully before prescribing treatment. Mealtimes were incredible. By far the most delicious food I've eaten in India. The treatments were x 2 per day and included oil massage, milk and herbal treatments. I came because of a leg discrepancy which has caused me problems all my life. The women who treated me here were compassionate and caring. Yoga each morning is at 7.30am in a separate building. The focus here was on breathing exercises and I felt myself get stronger over the course of the stay. Lucky for me, there was a dance festival on during my time in Kerala and Bindu organised for us to travel and watch a Kuchipudi performance. All in all the stay here has helped me get stronger. Thank you so much.
It was me and my friend visiting Ayuryogashram for treatment early March of this year. Although staff was quite friendly and helpful, yet the place is not really taken good care of.
It is more of a hospital/ clinic than a resort or even a hotel. The food for us was too spicy and unpleasant. The oils used in massages were really heavy and quite smelly. The pool is not functioning. Yoga was performed only once a day at 7:30 am for one hour. We were to stay for a full week, but we had to cut it to only 2 days!!
If you are just up to a basic treatment yet a bit costly still, then the place might be what you require.
This was my third visit to Ayuryogashram. As the name implies, it is a combination- par excellence- of Ayur (health), Yoga ( body- mind development and communion), and Ashram( peace and tranquility). It's idyllic rural location and clean air and water makes it an ideal setting for a rehealth resort. The amenities- accommodation with a sense of privacy, excellent food and room service, communication facilities including free wi fi- are offered at very reasonable rates. These are supported by a team of experienced Ayurvedic doctors who have had long experience in attending to special ailments s like management of pain- back, shoulder, knee etc-, diabetes, obesity. They have a popular general rejuvenation program as well as a corporate wellness package.
What was more important-and is, I think the greatest asset of this health centre is the people who are running it- the care and affection they show, right from Mr Nair to those with whom you interact for food, room service, treatment etc-which makes you feel you are a member of a close knit community.
No wonder Ayuryogashram has got the Kerala Govt's Green Leaf certification for the second three year term in succession and that they are getting repeat customers.
Overall, a unique, highly satisfying experience. Would recommend the place to anyone looking for genuine Ayurvedic health packages.
I spent two days in Ayuryogashram this month. That was a very relaxing weekend for me. I stayed in an Antiquate room. The location was very peaceful and greenish. Doctors and staffs extended a great hospitality. Worth spending a week's time every year in this place.
This is my second visit to a place that greets you with warmth, great care and precise medical treatments from a renowned doctor and staff. The food is outstanding, there is a swimming pool and gym which are important to me, as well as an open-aired yoga house, gardens, a plethora of fruit trees all in the midst of a jungle. One awakens to the sound of birds. This is total peace and quiet. Most importantly is a staff that envelopes one in warmth, smiles and care. If time allows, there are a variety of interesting places to visit. On a daily basis, there are walks down pathways through the village. Fascinating conversations over dinner can be with people from all over the world. At the moment there are two ladies from Uzbekistan, a couple from Poland and Indonesia as well as professional Indians from all over India. .Camilla USA
