When compare with other hotels in this area, tariff is very much worth. Very delicious complementary break fast, all people in the restaurant greet guest, the ladies in the restaurant help the childrens to serve the food. Rooms, Lobby, passage are very spacious. As per Hotel policy, Outside Food and liquor not allowed inside the room. we need to depends on room service. But, Room Service very worst. Lot of time. Management should train up the people in the receiption. Whenever we ask something, receiptionst give important to attend the phone calls. Atleast, Let them change the bucket and mug in the bath room. TV is very old model. People keep on check in and check out throughout the day. So, no fear for anything. we feel safe. The hotel is centrally located with very good accesss. The hotel has decent parking space however if there are more cars, you might have the tighter rear end to park.
The rooms are quite large however the rooms look old. Bedding and Linen are clean, but definitely not new.
Check in process was smooth (beware we checked in late evening when the reception was relatively empty).
BF is complimentary - BF on Day 1 was meagre but very tasty. BF on Day 2 included juice, fruits and Breads as well. Not sure why there was a difference between Day 1 and 2. The food was very tasty. However the let-down was two small cockroaches running near the bread counter. If you are a coffee lover, don't even ask for coffee. ;-)
Room service was very good. Towels and Shaving kit were provided immediately when asked for.
Overall rating is 3 considering the cleanliness. Could definitely be a better hotel.
Note: Stayed with family. Two families - 4 adults, 2 adolescents and 2 children.
I stayed here on Oct 26, 27. Stayed in a standard AC room. I made my booking through cleartrip. Locating the hotel was very easy. There is a big neon board on the top of the building which is visible from the main road.The checkin process took more than 10 mins as they had some difficulty in getting the data my reservation details.
The room was spacious, clean and well maintained.The bed spread and the blankets were clean and spot less. But they were old.. Bed spread and pillow covers had some damages due to the continuous use, but they were spotless. The room service was great. It would say it's one of the hotel with best room service and housekeeping services where I have ever stayed. Shower in the bathroom was not working, but since we came to Tirupati for pilgrimage, it didn't matter.
We checked in around 7 PM and we ordered tea through room service. The tea tasted horrible. When we complained about this, they sent a replacement one, even though we didn't ask for one. Again later that night we ordered milk, even the milk was not good. Felt like the milk was made out of powder and not fresh milk (its my view). Looks like this is a common problem across all the restaurants in Tirupati. Next day night we had we had milk at another restaurant (in a different hotel), the milk tasted the same.
I booked the hotel by makemytrip without reading any review because I was in real hurry. After my two days stay , it was a simply good experience for me. Room were specious enough with good A/C and room service were outstanding .
On the downside the condition of the furniture (especially bed) should be good at least should be repaired to prevent annoying sound.
All of the restaurants were extraordinary and served wonderful food. Please dont miss the outstanding Biriyani .Restaurants are deserved 4.5 star rating.
I have visited Tirupati many times, but this is my first stay at the hotel PLR Grand. Very good hotel with spacious rooms, cordial staff, good restaurant. Check in, check out was smooth. Very near to APSRTC bus station. Tirupati Railway station is not also far. Recommended for family..
