Terrible service from head waiter. No one came to take the order of food and we had to call the waiter to come and take the order. Also for a group of six people the head waiter handed over a single menu to make the order! We had to wait for more than 45 mins for the food after ordering. And no quantity of food for the price we pay. Will never come back again.
+If it is available at sub 3star rate it's good. Otherwise less competition of good quality hotel at the location is getting utilized. -Bed mattress is very cheap or poor quality. My bones could count the springs -0.8ton AC for a 200sqft room totally inefficient -Room given had two steps in the middle and doesn't feel a decent room, even though total area was decent for the rate. Felt like staying in a service room. -Low ceiling -The corridors are not flat. You have to climb three four steps here n there to reach the lift The breakfast buffet had basic options Idli, dosa, chappathi, cornflakes, juice. Tables were not laid completely. -The food is not appreciable at that cost. There were egg shells in methi chicken at dinner. There were egg shell broken pieces in omelette. Night lamps were not functioning, even after complaint Toiletries could be improved. 7.5mm Thin flat 50mm soap given for bath. The water of tap in straight position is too hot. There are competing options that is worth considering -The picture on website gives a big and large feeling. Actually it's very compact
Devoid of many accommodation options, the Elite is probably your best choice for somewhere to stay in the Thiruvalla area. The Elite has recently had a much welcomed modern makeover, so aesthetically it's a much improved hotel since I last set foot in the place over a decade ago. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even going so far as to enter the wifi credentials into our devices! The room at the Elite was clean, basic and comfortable. I'll give credit where due - it's the only hotel I found, on my current tour of India, which offered two-bedroom apartments! Every other hotel I've had to book two seperate rooms. Anyway where I take marks off is the bathroom, which in our particular apartment, had a permanent stench from the start to the end of our stay. The restaurant offers a broad a la carte selection however the buffet is by far the most basic offering I've seen in a hotel ever - definitely not enough selections particularly for western tastes. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many or any well-rated eateries around Thiruvalla town, so unless you have family in the area you'll probably need to stick with hotel food. Located in the heart of the town, the Elite is close to nearby shopping outlets, markets, banks, chemists and the Spencer's supermarket. All up, the Elite gets a pass from me, for a quick stay if you're in the area.
We had stayed in KGA Elite for a night in August and we stayed in a Suite and the rooms were spacious and very neat. We did enjoy the service and felt it was worth the money for a night. Good location of hotel at the center of Thiruvalla.
hi all, after reading all the reviews i choose this place to have our trip after our wedding.Place is pretty close to everything in town but unfortunately during the middle of the night, some stranger banged our door recklessly. Half a sleep i was not sure of doing what, as in those days there were many incidents in the media about moral police attacks on real couples etc, i called the reception. The security person came and asked y ddint u open the door and asked the stranger what he wants, that is such an awkward moment, lately they said they will check the CCTV and take necessary action. they revealed nothing, we shortened our trip and moved out.
