We got a room in this guesthouse for an initial price of 800 rupees (negotiated at 600 because we agreed to stay at least 2 nights) : that includes : - a bed (no night stand, no chair, no shelves. ) - a fairly nice paintings on the walls - an amazing view on the metal staircase - a fairly decent bathroom with 30 second hot shower. - noises from the staff very late at night (laughs and loud talks till 12/1am) and very early morning. - an unwelcoming dirty smelly entrance (you have to climb 5 stairs to go to the reception) - unmotivated staff, arrogant manager. We got charged 450 rupees for laundry service (10 to 20 rupees per item ! Which is super expensive for India). When we commented on the price the manager said that we could still wash our laundry ourself in the lake if we wished. Our clean clothes were given back full of too-hot-iron marks. We staid there because all the other places in the same range were full. Definitely not the best value for money. One positive note : the restaurant has an amazing view on the lake.
