The Hotel staff was very supportive and courteous. The room and Bathroom were clean and the facilities like Flat TV , room service arranging Taxi for sightseeing etc were all very good.
The hotel is good but the problem was we had to asked themthen it was offered. As an example the Room we had booked was higher cadre. We were given lower. When . Otherwise Hotel is good. Food is excellent, Location also good. The staff is excellent.
The hotel was very good. Very homely atmosphere. Hotel staff was very good and co-operative. There were two area of concern- Hotel name - which suggested as if it is a palace type of accomodation which was'nt. Seconldy, I feel seeing the type/category of the hotel it was, the food was quite expensive. The hotel was a bit far away from main city. This actually helps the customer to keep himself prepared in advance.
Hotel Panna Vilas turned out to be a real Panna in terms of its Location - The Beautiful Full Lake Fatehsagar - Landmark of Udaipur Full to its Brim. It is a Heritage Haveli converted into a Hotel with Lovely Spacious Neat & Clean Rooms. The Decor of the Rooms is Traditional Rajasthani with Vibrant Colours of Curtains & other items. The Bed was also of Old Style & Huge in Size. Each & Every Area of the Hotel is donned with Old Pictures of the Owners with Great Personalities like the One of the Most Beautiful Woman of India - The Late Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur. Many Photographs of Shootings of wild Animals. In Fact there are weapons in the Rooms as well. In 1 of our Rooms there was a Big Rifle hanged on the wall. When I tried to Lift it, I couldn't Lift it as it was so heavy. Wonder what Food people of those Times were eating? The Hotel had a Beautiful Big Sitting Room with a Balcony overlooking the Fatehsagar Lake. The Food was also quite Good. However, Service needs to be improved as Professional persons are not managing the property. I think it is left to the servants of the owner. I earnestly request the owner to employ at least a Professional Manager to mange the property. I have liked this property so much that My Family have decided to come for weekends here whenever we get some time.
Hotel Panna Vilas Palace is a real Gem in terms of its Location. It is perched right opp to the Great Landmark of Udaipur - Fatehsagar Lake (it is situated on the rear side of the Lake) It is a Heritage Haveli converted into a Hotel with impeachable cleanliness in the entire property. The Rooms are Decorated in the Traditional Rajasthani Style Vibrant Colour Decor of the curtains. The Bed is also in Traditional style & its huge. Bathrooms are quite big & mainnly absolutely neat & clean. There is a Big Sitting Room in the middle with a Balcony giving a direct view of the Lake. The Restaurant is situated on the Terrace with a fabolous view of the Lake. Food we had also very good in taste. However, only place where the hotel is lacking is not having professional staff. I think the staff is the same old traditional servants of the owner of the property. The Hotel needs to appoint atleast a Professional Manager from the Hotel Industry to look after such a Beautiful property. In fact, my Family liked the property & its Fabulous Location so much that we have decided to come for weekends here whenever we get time instead of going to crowded place like Daman. I would give 9 0ut of 10 to this Hotel & would strongly recommend other Travellers especially those travelling with family. They will really enjoy their stay here.

Good & peaceful location if you want to avoid the narrow & congested alleys near the city palace area. Specially convenient for people coming by their own car. The property looks really nice from outside. Lake view rooms are airy & well lit since they face the outside road & the opposite lake. They have a nice sit out area by the window with cushions. However the non lake view rooms feels very closed & gloomy as compared to the lake facing ones. Rooftop restaurant had very nice feel & ambience, lot of non residents also come for dinner. Food taste was good to average, however price was very reasonable. Breakfast (as part of package) had limited options. The staff were really good, courteous & helpful. We went there during the Holi long weekend, and the price seemed to be on the higher side as compared to what you get. Hair dryer in the washroom would have been great!
Well, the rooms were big and seemed clean. But one of the rooms we booked had a broken toilet, and another had a terrible smell emanating from the bathroom. The manager's solution was to open a window (with no screen) and pump air freshener up from the ground floor. We ended up leaving.
Its a decent hotel on fateh sagar. the rooms are made in complete ethnic style. mosquitoes is a big problem in this hotel. there is a staff who is deaf and dumb, he is just just too amazing. the kinda service he provides is inspiring. overall i would suggest to go for this hotel only if you want to stay near fateh sagar lake.
It is ideally located facing Lake Fateh Sagar on Rani road in natural surrounding, a very peaceful environment. Interior of Hotel & restaurant was ultimate. Perfect hotel to visit & Food was awesome and very delicious and service was also good.
My husband, 1.5yr old and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. They were very nice to accommodate our request for early check in. The property has been recently renovated (as per the manager), is done up well, and our room had a good decor and a good view of the Fateh Sagar lake. Room service was slow on the first day, but got better post that. Amenities in the room were very basic. There isn't a single rack in the bathroom!! No laundry bags and service. Their highly rated restaurant is very average. The location and view is nice, but service is bad. The service is very slow and poor. We were not attended to when we went up to the restaurant. When we took an empty table, 5 mins later, they asked us to move to another one impolitely. breakfast which was included in our stay, was below average. We were served poha and either of poori-bhaji or aloo paranthas, on all 4 days. So boring. They had no other options, and weren't keen to offer more options, although we told them that it's boring. No fruits were available, although we asked for it, and they knew the struggles I was going through to get my son to eat something during the stay. Some of the servers were good - Harish, the front desk manager (don't remember his name, sorry!). He asked us about how are trip was going, and made some good recommendations. The hotel has employed deaf n dumb people, who are also very prompt and sincere. They also have 3 friendly dogs - with whom my son had a great time. I think that the service and hotel amenities was not worth the price we paid for staying there.
