The rooms are a bit of a potluck. We were in room 105 at first, which was dark and awkward with dirty bedding. Then we were upgraded to room 101, which was a lot bigger with nice sitting areas and a partial view of the lake. Another fellow traveller got room 305 with ever bigger and better sitting areas with a beautiful lake view - you can hold a party in that room. Mind your figures when closing the doors - the location of the door handles are very awkward. The WiFi was good sometimes. Great view of the lake from the rooftop restaurant, food was alright. you need to call the reception for hot water, and sometimes it doesn't last long.

Stinky Rooms and washroom. Bed sheets, blankets, pillow covers were dusty and old. We went for experiencing haveli stay, but the rooms seemed exactly haveli like- which are not cleaned since king era. Breakfast was average. The location is in old city, therefore there could be issue of cabs accessibility. Completely saddening experience.

I was on a group tour which is why I stayed here. I wouldn't recommend it. Although the location is good and the rooftop bar is nice, the rooms aren't worth it. The duvet covers were dirty, and the internet only worked intermittently. We were told that there would be hot water, and there was not, even when we called the front desk. At one point at night, the guy at the desk said that there weren't be any until morning, even though we were reassured that we could call the front desk at any time, and they would flip the switch. The hotel was also extremely noisy.

Hotel is located next to Lake Pichola. We booked it through Goibibo. I received a call from hotel reservation person around 1 pm on the check-in date that Hotel has run into some issue. Therefore, they will transfer us to some other property. When we reached the Hotel the person at the reception Mr Rakesh Soni refused to let us check-in. He stated that they don't have rooms. To say the least, Rakesh was very rude and unprofessional. I spoke to the hotel reservation person again who stated that they have received a group booking from foreigners that's the reason they will not let us check-in. I spoke to Goibibo customer service who after a lot persuasion eventually got us the rooms. Rakeah made us wait for 2.5 hours at the hotel reception. Since the hotel staff earn slot of commission and tips from foreigners; they treat Indian tourist like second class citizens. Moreover, hotel description stated free parking but, Rakesh made us park the car at the paid parking which was located around 1 kilometer from the hotel. Hotel room was very small but clean. Toilet was dirty and stinking. They provided warm water only from 7 AM to 10 PM. One of the objective of booking hotel online was to avoid agents and other travel hassles. But, when you face hotel staff like Rakesh Soni you realise how corrupt the tourism ecosystem is. They can do anything for money. This was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. I will NOT recommend this Hotel to anyone let alone families and couples.

We stayed in Lake Pichola in the month of December 2016. Before making booking I searched lots of hotels including the Taj Lake Palace. As we were going to spend most of the time exploring Udaipur, we wanted a hotel that's very near to city palace , lake Pichola and at the same time clean , beautiful and affordable. After checking photograph of each and every hotel on Goibio and Tripadvisor , I finalized lake pichola. I was bit skeptical at the time of booking if the hotel looks exactly same as in photographs. When we arrived at hotel ,I was so happy at the decision. Location: Hotel is jist opposite the Bagaur ki Haveli. 5 min walk from City Palace, Jagdish temple & Main market. Staff: Staff and hotel management is very courteous and that's the most important thing in making your stay pleasant. You can forget a bad room after some time but you will never forget the arrogance. We left this hotel with a smile and very warm experience. Room: We booked super deluxe room. Room was spacious, neat and clean.Room was built in traditional haveli style. Washrooms were also clean. Food: Hotel has a nice roof top restaurant , where u can have candle light dinner enjoying view of lake, ghat and Lake Palace. Also there are lots of nice restaurant and cafes around hotel. Amrai Restaurant is just 5 min walk from Pichola haveli. Breakfast: Hotel needs big improvement on Complementary breakfast. Our experience of Breakfast was just average. They do not have option of Buffet and you can choose from Prantha ,sandwiches, or omelette. We ordered aloo parantha and it was below average. Breakfast:
