We only spent one night in this lovely haveli but it felt like a unique experience. Its a very pretty building and our room was charmingly furnished with an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. Mr. Patel and his family are friendly and helpful and the view from the rooftop terrace at breakfast time was absolutely jaw dropping. Its also well located with lots of interesting little shops close by and in addition, they have a very helpful driver who can be booked to take you around the area. Be aware that you need to be fit - there are a lot of steep stairs. The only reasons I have given 4 rather than 5 stars is because our bathroom, although very clean, could have done with some refurbishment. In addition, they have an alsatian dog which is perhaps not the best animal to have in a guesthouse with strangers coming and going. I love dogs and he seemed ok when I was there but I gather from other comments that there have been problems, so we were very wary of him and kept our distance.
