First things first. Let me explain why I have given this ratings. We are club Mahindra members since many years & have visited may of there resorts. 1) We experienced this Deja Vu experiences regarding room allotment in our last 3 visits to club Mahindra, Ooty and Munnar resorts as well- members are given least preference in room allotment & are allotted peripheral rooms either with poor or no view, rooms with some issue or other. Only on insisting a room change we were allotted better rooms. My question is as a member shouldn't it happen in a better way? Why every time there should be a need for asking a room change? Same experience in Udaipur resort - allotted rooms which were connected which was good but there used to be always a stuffy smell after opening the room when one came inside, worse was a constant stench coming from the bathroom (after going through other guest review I realised that this was a issue faced by few of the guests in past), room view had a stone wall in front with long cobwebs hanging from window arches. So on insisting a change we were given a better room. MY ROOM TIP- All the rooms are spacious. Layout for all the rooms are similar so it just depends on where your room is facing & what view it has. Choose a front facing room on middle or higher floor towards front garden as pool facing rooms are good but you cannot open windows all the time as opposite room windows are facing each other. 2) Secondly we had completely valid & authentic club Mahindra members coupons to redeem but we were told that they can't be redeemed as we had done our booking through RCI. Having said this they were happy to offer all their other paid services including food at their member rates. After verifying the coupons once again on the next day we were asked to show the coupons for verification. When we told them to give in writing the reason why they can't accept the coupons, only then they did accept the coupons reluctantly. This whole thing left a bad taste despite other few good experiences. The resort is located 8-10 km away from main city so Uber (available from city to resort but not from resort to city for which resort charges 300) is better option (230 approx) in comparison with the resorts pickup (370). If you don't have own car then bear these things in mind. The resort has few activities like table tennis, pool, archery & badminton. There were magic show, puppet shows, tambola organised in the evening & they were ok. The pool is nice but did not use it as weather was cold. They do have small gym as well. Now the good things in our stay- resort property is good & has few nicely maintained garden lawns where one can have a nice early morning or evening walk. The staff overall was We had a good stay once we got our room exchanged as new rooms did not have any issues I have mentioned above. The breakfast spread was good but may become about monotonous after first 2-3 days. The dinner buffet was nice & tasty with nicely arranged dinner buffet on the Valentine's Day. But the few average experiences & attitude of the some the reception staff made entire experience a bit dull.
