I booked a room in Hotel Swaroop Vilas Udaipur for the 10th and 11th Jan and I was totally disappointed with both travelguu and the hotel,more so travelguru for the following reasons. a) Despite by credit card payment well in advance on 8th Jan, When we checked in we were advised by the hotel that they received payment on the morning of 10th Jan . b) We were given basement rooms of what seemed to be rooms made out of storage rooms with walls in front when the hotel had lake facing rooms which were vacant but they insisted that those were full. c) The rooms had no cross ventilation . d) For a 3 star hotel the rooms did not have a somple cupboard. e) When I asked for tea service on 11th morning,it took 20 minutes to serve a cup of tea and it was honestly the worst cup of brewed tea. f) When we asked what was the cancellation or refund policy ,they said that we should talk to travelguru and theywould not given any refund. g) a Boutique hotel in Rajasthan had only 2 Rajasthani vegetable dishes on its menu for a land rich in food. Honestly travelguru.com gave me a bad trip expoerience and my boss who was travelling with me really was very upset. travelguru .com.It is experiences like these that ruin India's name and you sure played a big role in tht.I was better off with makemytrip.com Regards Yogesh Purohit A customer who has burnt his hands.

Stayed for two nights, large rooms which were clean with great views. Lovely pool with a terrace overlooking the lake. Very central for all the sights. Staff were very efficient and a good breakfast supplied. My only disappointment was the "Bliss Spa". Having said they take credit cards it was then a problem when I came to pay. The final bill after taxes for 2 people was 1,000 rupees more than the price list quoted. The credit card was eventually processed with the oldest trick in the book of converting the price into English pounds, making it even more expensive. Be aware!

This is was my first trip to Udaipur but TripAdvisor's reviews helped a lot in finding a perfect Hotel. This Hotel gave everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Food is better than any 5 star rated hotel, rooms are spacious and well maintained. Rooms are large with AC and basic amenities. Pool area is well maintained too.

Right from the start.. the staff was warm and courteous especially Mr Jitendra.. they helped us with early check in and later a late check out as our flight gor delayed. Rooms are spacious and well appointed needless to say well maintained and clean. The hotel staff was truly there to make u feel comfortable. Breakfast and dinner is something that will get to back to this hotel. The food was great overall with a variety of spread. A place we are coming back again in winters.

Nice hotel with charming victorian rooms! Friendly service, and a good view to the lake. Everything has the glance of last century! Breakfast and dinner is not more than average! Service crew always friendly !
