Nice and clean room . Not far away from Assi Ghat . Its safe on the roads at night also but until 11 P.M. . They arrange everything prefect , they give me notes that tell about varanasi , map for explore the city , some tricks , and they can arrange boat trip , city walk too . I also like their foods. Homemade food , very tasty :) recommend this homestay . friendly hosts !
The good thing is it is close to the river. But there are no views from the rooms, all of which open to show the walls of other buildings, as the hotel is in a walled up lane.
However, the rooms are really clean and nice, sheets are washed and ironed, though towels could look brighter.
The bathrooms are clean, and roomy and have running hot water.
The staff is helpful, but not forthcoming with help beyond their interests. The ten am check out is really inconvenient and there is no leeway offered even for rooms without bookings for the extention required, unless you pay a day's rate for the few extra hours.
We only had tea at the hotel, which has a cafe, but it was good tea. So the food must be good too.
The staff is soft spoken, cannot say the same of the guy manning the desk. A real put off!
Ganesha is a hotel very well located, Central but away from the chaos. Facilities are functional and are very clean, so we thought it was very remarkable, next to the hot water available at all times. The hotel offers a free tour led by Ajai Panday, our experience with the was wonderful, the tour with the easy to understand because varanassi is a deeply devotional city, know deep this beautiful culture. Thank you Ayay by your wonderful disposition and generous delivery.
Room was nice and super clean. Internet and hot water did not work half of the time and the tv was broken. Staff was ok, but the manager was very rude and unfriendly. Worst management i have ever seen after 6 month traveling in india.
They try to maintain the facilities, but what do you think? They can't be be as good as Clark's. Medium budget - must visit. TVs are the old bulky ones, but they have it. Free WiFi stops working mostly. But they have very clean toilets. They are obviously packed from all sides, that means you are safe from the outside world. If you want to rest, the location is awesome. For tourists, you should be somewhere else. Food is okay, not so good, not so bad. Okay if you are really hungry, but I suggest get out, I mean it is Varanasi man, it is the whole world in itself.
