Very good value for the price! The very hotel where a bell boy refused to receive a tip. Room was very clean and modern. It has a relaxing rooftop garden terrace where you can have dinner, but the service could be very slow. They let you sit on the lawn and have meal as well. Staff are all very friendly (\to the Indian standard)\, except for the Manager. On the check-out day, I was very sick and requested to extend our stay a little bit longer but he only offered 30 min extension which was not nice.n and have meal as well. The stay was comfortable except the hot water facilities which they did not provide early morning. Otherwise service and room quality was decent one. Food was tasteful but bit costly. It was a reasonable hotel recommendable for all class of travelers.

best budget hotel in varanasi best budget hotel in varanasi

by abhiriders on October 30, 2016

I stayed at hotel pradeep varanasi in the month ofFebruary with my friends .this is the best budget hotel in varanasi rates were reasonable and staff was polite and helpfulmore over it is located in Lahurabir. Manger arranged the taxi for sight seeing for us at a very reasonable rates and driver was polite. We visited ip vijaya mall. This was a nice trip to varanasi. I think one should book this hotel before coming to varanasi. It was the best stay in a hotel , prices of the rooms are very low.

We first arrived and was told that they're twin rooms were full but would be available later on, they put us up in a double room to sleep and freshen up until ours was ready The double room was nice and clean and had facilities suitable for a wheelchair however no hot water was available When we changed to the twin room it was quite different the room was very small and had a strange smell about it. Walls were covered in marks and the bathroom smelt damp. After already moving and being in the last twin room available we just took the room (we were backpacking so I've stayed in worse) At night when we got into bed the sheets didn't seem the cleanest and looked as if someone else had been sleeping in them therefor I got out my sleeping bag liner to sleep in Overall the probably are some rooms that a quite a bit nicer than the others maybe just ask to see the room before you book

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Worst hotel I have ever been to.

Where to start? Firstly anyone considering booking this hotel even just for a night - look elsewhere! I have been in India for 3 weeks in a group of 10 travellers, staying at a wide range of 2* and 3* hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Not only do they promise that the wifi works in the rooms (before you pay for it) - which it doesn't, as well as the reception area (it comes at a surcharge of INR 200 for 2 hours, 300 for 24 hours or 500 for 48 hours for one device only), but for 3 days have told us that an operator is coming to fix it and nothing has happened. As well as this, there is no hot water - again promises of a plumber coming out to fix it have been going on for 3 days. The staff are incredibly rude, and seem to go out of their way to make things more difficult for you. They are not accommodating or helpful, and seem to have no interest in even attempting to make you feel as if they are doing anything to improve your stay. When I ordered food from the hotel restaurant, they didn't have many of the choices on the menu, and when I did eventually manage to order something that they had available (tandoori chicken), I asked for it to be boneless. It came on the bone and the staff told me that they thought I'd asked for it to be "burnless" (even though boneless chicken is an option on the menu), and immediately after cutting into it I found more than one hair on the plate. On the first night we returned to our room to find the shower on full blast and all of our things on the sink soaked, including our towels. There is mould all over the bathroom ceiling and the room constantly feels damp. The bed sheets and even the new towels we requested felt damp to touch. On the second evening there seemed to be some building works going on, which took place all through the night with an extremely loud drilling, and again all of the next day. There is no remote control for the air conditioning in the rooms, and it can only be controlled by calling someone from reception to come and switch it on or off. The bed sheets are dirty and our room has a fowl smell of urine. Overall I am just completely appalled, and have never experienced anything like it. The lack of courtesy from all staff is shocking and I will never be returning, along with the 9 others in my group (who are all just as disgusted with the hotel as I am). I am not usually one to write reviews but I felt that this could not go unsaid.

My review on Hotel Pradeep in Benaras : 1. Location : Near Market Area, about 3 kms. from Viswanath Temple and Ghats. Auto fare reasonable, Ricksha fare : Rs. 40 per two heads 2. Hotel ambience : Very satisfactory, all staff are very cordial and cooperative, Generator service available. 3. Room Service : Very good 4. Laundry service : Very good 5. Rooms 103 & 105 : Standard size, decorated, but not well ventilated, no balcony 6. Toilets : Good, 24 hour water supply, 7. Restaurant : Service is good, but too costly, comparing its quality and quantity 8. Wi Fi available but with a premium charge

Just ok - nothing special Just ok - nothing special

Food took 1 hour to arrive for 3 people. The rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms but you must pay for wifi which was pricey yet it does not work in your room. However, the hotel is in an extremely busy but central location local shops with local amenities close by. Wouldn't recommend but not the worse place either!!!

Demo Trip Rooms at the front of the hotel overlook the busy main road. Try and get one at the back.

Demo Trip Rooms facing the road are better, otherwise the windows face other buildings which are pretty close by.
