My parents (both senior citizens) stayed here for 3 days and they can't stop praising about their hospitality. The hotel was clean, someone was always available at their beck and call and food was tasty - what more to ask for! The only downside is that you have to walk and climb up the stairs to get here. They were courteous enough to provide with a scooter that dropped them to the Biswanath temple. Overall, highly recommended.
The hotel is well-situated, close to the main ghats. You may have some troubles to find it, since there is no big signboard to indicate where it is located. But if you ask a local, he will tell you.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. But there is no AC... so sleep with the window open (you might see and hear the monkey at night, but don't be afraid, there are bars on the windows so that they can't come inside the rooms), or be ready to sweat... Also, the bathroom was very small.
The breakfast was very good. I had aloo paranatahs, massala omelet and chai. It was very good and served fast.
All in all,it is a good place to stay, and I will recommend it.
First of all, the staff is super friendly and attentive. Its a great location in the thick of the old city near the more happening ghats. The beds were comfortable and clean rooms.
They only negatives were that the room was super hot and humid, which the weather outside was not. We did not take an AC room because the weather was nice enough during our visit to not need. Also, during one of our nights, the electricity went out 4 times. I had to call each time and they immediately turned it on, but I didnt get much sleep that night due to the heat and interruptions. Interestingly, the internet seemed to be on in the surrounding rooms and corridors.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, we would probably stay there again if we chose to be in that part of town.
Palace on steps is a wonder boutique hotel which provides you all the amenities while maintaining the vibe of the city. The hotel preserves the Varanasi culture. The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. They helped us all the way. They knew about the city and recommended some wonderful places to visit. The rooms and hotel services were amazing and quick. One must note that, the hotel is located on the banks of the river Ganga, which is a plus plus. After all, Varanasi is all about ghats, streets, food and the list goes on. Dashashwamedh ghat is at a stones throw distance. I would definitely recommend Palace on steps for any type of visit to Varanasi. A remarkable heritage hotel. Keep it up.
no words to explain much about the hotel.view is awesome, hotel staff treated me like a family, not as a customer.any set of requirements were taken care on a priority basis . loved the stay and my parents loved it too.
coming to rooftop restro view , ambiance is excellent, only thing i felt was the restro had a limited menu where they can add some more food options. but whatever the food was served it was amazing...
