The stay was wonderful in this hotel. Room was developed very well by the staff. Staff did their level best to help the guest. Food was prepared in different varieties and served very well by waiter of the restaurant. Its value for money and recommendable property.
Not provided bed sheet to cover, they written WI-FI hotel but wi-fi is working near reception only,no telephone to place order, they provided one towel and 1 soap for 2 persons for 2 days, they not cleaned room during our 45 hrs stay over all hotel service is bad
The hotel is very near to Assi Ghat. It is a good location as there are nearby internet, eateries and tea shops around. The only problem - no lift. You need to climb at least 4 floors if your room is on the rooftop. I was put on the 2nd Floor on the 1st night and on the second night, I was told to move to the rooftop as a big group is coming. I don't see any reason of shifting me to the upper floor. Even with my persistence, I still had to stay on the rooftop. It's a bad experience.

We visited Varanasi on the 30th of January until the 1st of February 2017. During this time we stayed in the Temple on Ganges. This hotel has a great location and is close to the ghats. The rooms are neat and clean and there are kettles and coffee and tea in the rooms. The rooftop restaurant offers beautiful views of the Ganges and serves delicious vegetarian meals. The staff are helpful and friendly. Dilip at the front desk is the best! He is very friendly, kind and goes out of his way to help one.He arranged a boat for us and nothing was to much trouble for him. We felt at home and cared for! He is a great person and n big asset for this hotel! We had a very pleasant stay and will recommend Hotel Temple to others.
This is a pleasant, functional place to stay, with very helpful managers and staff. (The manager at the front desk arranged Ganges boat rides for three of us on short notice and also arranged reliable taxis from the airport and back.). Its located a very short walkaway from Assi Ghat, which is at the southern end of the string of ghats lining the Ganges. Its a 30-minute walk from Dasaswamedh Ghat, which is the main site for prayer ceremonies at dusk, so the hotel is not in the center of activity, but the location is quieter and less hectic than the streets closer to . Dasaswamedh Ghat. The free wifi works well and the hotel is on Whats App, so its plugged in. The rooms have large, comfortable beds and very small but fully functional, clean bathrooms. Its not a Western-style place, and if you want elevators/lifts and LCD television, look elsewhere. But its an excellent choice if you want a small, clean, friendly Indian hotel. The hotel restaurant is on the top floor, and you get a lovely view of the Ganges and a very good meal as well.
My friends and I stayed at this hotel during a quick visit to Varanasi. The hotel is located at a convenient spot close to the ghats and nice restaurants. The rooms are simple, but clean and have all the basics one needs for a short stay. We had a meal at the restaurant and, while the service was very slow (there were 11 of us waiting to eat), the food was cooked to order and served fresh. In addition, the manager, Mr. Mohan, very promptly helped us with transportation arrangements and a boat ride in the morning, as did other staff members for all of our requests. We had a pleasant stay overall.
We enjoyed our stay at Temple Ganges - the location is great, right at Assi Ghat and close to the wonderful woodfire pizza place + Open Hand restaurant. We enjoyed a meal on the rooftop taking views of the river Ganges. Service was slow but we found that to be the case at most restaurants we went to in Varanasi. A good option for the budget traveler!!
Hotel is located at the end of the ghats. But conveniently located to a bunch of restaurants and shops. 5 minute walk to the mains ceremonies on the ghats in the morning! Service was very hospitable. Kind and generous! Bring a photo copy of your passport and visa to speed up the process of checking in... otherwise be patient. Rooms were okay. Sheets seemed a bit damp and the smell of the room was stale. But considering where you are staying... it was a good room. Clean and safe. Be WARNED: we went up to their roof top restaurant to eat lunch before going on a walking tour of the city.... it took us 1 hour and 45 mins to get our food. We were a group of 10... but it was simple things like friend rice or noodles. Nothing extravagant. And we all got our food staggered. They must only have one stove top or something? There were bugs in our food too. A couple of us pulled out some little nat/fly type bugs out of our food. Just getting our juice/water took 20 minutes as well. So... it set us behind on schedule. Go up to the top though- it's a great view! I wouldn't recommend eating though.
