The stay was wonderful in this hotel. Room was developed very well by the staff. Staff did their level best to help the guest. Food was prepared in different varieties and served very well by waiter of the restaurant. Its value for money and recommendable property.
Not provided bed sheet to cover, they written WI-FI hotel but wi-fi is working near reception only,no telephone to place order, they provided one towel and 1 soap for 2 persons for 2 days, they not cleaned room during our 45 hrs stay over all hotel service is bad
The hotel is very near to Assi Ghat. It is a good location as there are nearby internet, eateries and tea shops around. The only problem - no lift. You need to climb at least 4 floors if your room is on the rooftop. I was put on the 2nd Floor on the 1st night and on the second night, I was told to move to the rooftop as a big group is coming. I don't see any reason of shifting me to the upper floor. Even with my persistence, I still had to stay on the rooftop. It's a bad experience.

I stayed at Hotel Temple On Ganges twice, there is a nice view of the river from some of the rooms and a lovely roof terrace. The staff, especially Mohan and Dilip couldn't be more helpful and the vegetarian menu caters to all tastes. Massage and yoga are also available from the very talented Ajay. Highly recommended
While visiting Varanasi , it pertinent to stay closer to the ghats ( river banks ) as most of the activity takes place around the same and hence my main reason of choosing this place was its proximity to the same. You can see the ganges from the room and their rooftop cafe and the place is not difficult to locate . Its situated near Assi Ghat, which has some good restaurants ( especially if you are looking to eat Pizza's or Pasta ) and they also have a Ganga Aarti in the morning . The rooms are clean with all the basic amenities, including a tea / coffee maker / hot water in the bathroom and they have room service as well. The staff is courteous and are available for any suggestions / help . They serve food in the restaurant downstairs and also in the rooftop cafe, although there are issues with flies at night ( because of the bright lights ) The food is decent and can be improved , however to be safe , please order simple stuff .On our request they made some simple Khichdi for us as some of the other items were quite oily.
We stayed three nights at the hotel. After seeing our room after checking in, we decided we wanted a bigger room with more robust AC. The staff worked with us to move us for our 2nd and 3rd night to a bigger room with a better view. The AC was also stronger if noisy. We were not charged for the change in rooms. The hotel is located above Assi Ghat with river views. It was excellent to be located next to so many restaurants and near the morning aarti ceremony. Also helpful shops in the area: pharmacy, book store, groceries. Place was clean and modest: for Americans Id recommend booking the more expensive suites if you plan on staying in the room much. Otherwise its a great landing pad for plenty of Varanasi adventures.
I stayed for two weeks over a very busy time in Varanasi- mahashivaratri. Im really glad I stayed at Hotel Temple, since it was my peaceful retreat away from the heavy crowds. The view from the rooftop deck and from my room was amazing. Wide open space with a full Ganga view in both directions. A perfect place for morning yoga and meditation as well as a few minutes walk to the morning aarti at Assi Ghat. The hotel staff and owners are very kind, helpful, and attentive. From the booking to my departure, Mohan went above and beyond to help. He wanted to be sure that the room would be good for my stay so he video messaged me to show the room. We had an issue with the door and it was fixed the same day. He even connected me to a harmonium shop and helped with the shipment to my home. Assi Ghat is a little far from the main ghat and temple, but for me it did not matter. I prefer a hotel that has more space and a peaceful setting. Another benefit of Assi Ghat is that the car can drive to the front door and there is no need to carry bags through old, narrow streets as it is in the old part of town. Overall an amazing experience, in a very clean, positive feeling hotel. All of the people who work at the hotel were very polite and so helpful! Ill definitely stay again.
I highly recommend this place for you stay in Varanasi. Nice clean rooms, lovely staff, fantastic food. And, most of all, the amazing roof terrace: practice yoga, enjoy your meals or socialising on a cup of masala chai, this will make your stay in Varanasi a memorable one. Mohan, the owner, will always assist you with your special requests. He is very helpful indeed.
