The Booking was confirmed to us by email by travelguru. Hotel mamata failed to take the booking on record refused entry. Hence one more room was booked by our coguest who reached the venue before I could reach. Hotel mamata was reluctant to take any initiative to confirm the booking. We had to prove our booking status with the copies of email from travelguru and citibank confirming the booking and payment. It resulted in extra cost as we had to book another room for few hours stay for freshup and due to delay in vacating the room after proving we missed the train and waited in the railway station booked fresh ticket under current booking due to pilgrimage crowd we could not board the train and we could not cancel the tickets as we waited at railway station for more than 3 hours to catch the train and again went back to hotel waited at reception and booked the bus ticket and travelled in the night The result two rooms booked but stood at the railway station and hotel reception and missed the train and travelled by bus extra cost for room booking, train ticket without travelling and bus ticket Terrible experience which can never be forgotten in life

Badly Maintained Badly Maintained

This was once a premium Hotel, but now it has not only lost its charm but is also poorly maintained. The restaurant at this Hotel was known for its tasty vegetarian food, but now its a shade of its old self. In the 80's & the 90's this place used to serve the best South Indian meal and you would have to wait for at least 30 minutes during lunch time to get your place, but now it hardly occupied. Food here was never very spicy as the owners were from Udipi in Karnataka, who are know for their tasty snacks. One of the specialities was the ceylon parotta. But now the steward hardly knew what it was. Not the best place to get good tasty south Indian food.

Room was ok but not very clean.Even the pillow covers and bed sheets are not very clean.overall i was not satified with the maintenance .Advantage is very near to bustand and railway station.Drawback is need to maintain neat and clean.

We stayed here for two days and one night with 7 people in 3 rooms, that was really good than the expectations. It is very near to the railway station as we walked to the hotel. Rooms are very clean with a small tv, as it is situated in center of city, views are not that great, but the view from terrace is ok when compared to the view from room. And we booked one room for 3 people but for the third person what they gave is sofa to sleep, a sofa with a mattress on it. You get hot water all the time, Restaurent here in the hotel is not that great, it is better to eat out. We had our dinner in the road side shops and we had many new dishes which we do not get in our place and that was really great and cost is very cheap. Regarding their service, person in the front desk is ready to help us at any time. Very limited parking slots. Over everything... it is a GOOD place to stay 'for 2' people in a room and NOT GOOD place to stay 'with 2' people in a room ;)
