The hotel is located in a prime area - on MG Road. The property was nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bathrooms were good as well with shower cubicles and good amenities. The check-in and check-out processes were rather smooth. Service in the main restaurant (GAD - Gateway Allday Dining) was quite poor. When I went into the restaurant, it took several minutes before somebody came around to provide a seat for me - This was not because the restaurant was crowded - there must have been guests at perhaps another three or four tables. It was getting very difficult to catch the attention of servers in the restaurant. They were busy chatting with one another. It took at least 10 minutes after I had finished my meal before I could get the attention of a server and ask for the bill. This is not something new the last time I dined at the same restaurant about a year ago. The servers were all glued to the television. I had complained to the management after I had checked out that time but it appears that pretty little has been done on that front. The Gateway, Vijaywada still remains the best option for somebody travelling to Vijayawada but the service definitely does not live up to the standards expected of a Taj Hotel.

it's situated in the heart of the city. hotel was good. the staff were polite and is spacious. food was good especially the buffet. overall it's a nice hotel to stay in.

Better than the Novotel! Better than the Novotel!

This place was perfect. The food and customer service were first class. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. After 2 nights I felt refreshed and relaxed, ready to face the world again. Thanks to the friendly and professional staff at Gateway. I will definitely see you again.

For TIC guest I am a frequent guest of taj hotels. I visited this hotel 2015 earlier. At that time i got privileges if inner circle member. But 2017 i booked unfortunately wrong date check in. Again i booked correct date(next day) with my points redemption. While i am checking in i asked for upgrade of room as i wasted my stay with my mistake. But FOM not honoured my request. This hotel staff not having the idea of tic tier. For normal people Any how happy to tell the hotel is good property and enjoyable. One and only the hotel had 5* in Capital of Andhra Pradesh. Food is yummy and stay is comfortable. You can enjoy your stay.

Very good hotel on a good location, very clean having a Highly courteous and helpful staff. The food quality is super tasty. They obliged me with late checkout facility too on my request. We will like to stay in this hotel again on our next visit.

overall pleasant experience... nice guest receiving at reception...good room service... only difficult i faced was that the day on my visit there was some political meeting chaired by chief minister and the my vehicle was blocked by some minister's car .. this delayed my outing by half an hour.. but no complaints from my side considering over all experiance...

An amazing place to visit either for couples, business and get together. I loved the place it is so hygiene every where. Good house keeping. The rooms are well furnished and looks pleasant all the way. The best experience i ever had earlier.
