Travelling to Vrindavan during Holi celebrations was something I always wanted and I, along with a couple of friends, was able to fulfill the desire this March. We wanted a budget trip and MMN resort fit perfectly within our means. Booking was and it was very easy. The resort is located around 15 minutes from the Yamuna Highway. It was not very difficult to locate the resort as everyone knew the place, Vatsalya Marg. We had to register our bikes at the entrance itself. The compound looked huge and we noticed places to sit and relax, if we wanted some fresh air. The resort is surrounded by a decent amount of greenery and big lawns. You can sit there during the evenings. Carry a mosquito repellent cream though. You have ample space to park your vehicles. The receptionist was very welcoming and we checked-in within 5 minutes of arriving. We were able to get a room of our choice with a balcony, facing a temple built in the resort courtyard. The room and bathroom was neat and tidy. We needed an extra bed and towels and got them almost immediately. There was no TV in our room and the geyser wasn't working, even though it made a lot of noise. We didn't have time to shift rooms, so we did it in the evening and the resort staff took care of everything. The new room had a TV and a working geyser. The clothes hangar in the balcony was broken so we had to improvise to dry our clothes. There was no cellular network in the new room, and the Wi-Fi wasn't working either. We had to go near the reception to access the internet. The rooms could definitely do with a fresh dab of paint. There was a water cooler in the lobby on all floors so we had no issues with water. Room service was quick. Though we just ordered it twice for tea. Food was pretty decent, but not amazing. At least it was better than the street food of Vrindavan. Food in Mathura is slightly better. The food bill was not expensive. The dining room staff were really sweet. The staff were courteous and very helpful in guiding us to places of interest. Temples are easy to find thanks to numerous directional signs. Be wary of the monkeys, as they are notorious for snatching spectacles. Didn't happen to us, though. Overall, if you are looking for a quite and economical place to stay, not to far from the main temples of Vrindavan or Mathura city, MMN resort is the place to book.
