A Serene Abode...
by rayeezrasheed on
Loved the place... An authentic British Colonial bungalow, neatly maintained with spacious rooms, bathrooms and common areas... With just 6 rooms, the place is never crowded and u get ample privacy.. The bungalow is surrounded by lush green tea estate and its worth to have a walk through it... its so peaceful and quiet.. The only sound u get to hear is the chirping of birds and the siren from the nearby tea factory... in one word its just Serene... Its not like a resort but is definitely for those who are looking for a break from their routine life... A different experience.. Highly recommended..
Worth the money you spend

The bungalow is located inside a 4000 acre tea plantation, the surrounding view from the bungalow is breathtaking. The staff are very hospitable and will cater to any needs you have during your stay. The rooms are spacious and have all the amenities you could ask for. The area has easy access to most of the tourist spots in wayanad by road. I would definitely recommend this place to any person who would want to spend a few days away from all the hustle and bustle and enjoy nature in its true essence.
A quiet place for families and friends to spend quality time.

A wonderful British style colonial residence set on a hilltop amidst a tea plantation.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are very courteous and they provided us with very good meals.
A wonderful place to unwind. Definitely 5 stars.

My friend and I spent two nights at Parisons Plantation Talapoya property. The bungalow itself is stunning. For people who like antique furniture and old school charm, it is like stepping back in time. The property is located on a vast tea estate and the views are breathtaking. Special mention to the hospitality, food and tea. It is a place I would highly recommend and one I would like to return to. There is another property about 2.5 Kms away. A pleasant walk and there is a rec centre with a whole host of games and sport. It is a must visit in wayanad.
Blissful perfection :)

During the much detailed research on safe places to travel this Corona season, we stumbled across Parisons plantation experiences. We stayed at the Thalapoya Bungalow in Mananthavady.
This place is heaven. Literally. Situated in the midst of pristine lush tea plantations, apart from the splendid scenic beauty the place has to offer; the colonial British bungalow on its own is a delight to the eyes. The vintage interiors are so amazingly beautiful.
The hospitality at this place is truly laudable. Special thanks to Binoy and Shaadh for going the extra mile and making this such a memorable experience for us. The team of staff are so courteous - Jisha, Nabeesa, and Balakrishnan truly made us feel at home. Another commendable thing was the scrumptious food (prepared by the chef, Subhash) it was authentic Malabar cuisine which was served with so much love and had such homely touch to it. We opted for patio dining most of the time, as we could enjoy the food with the spectacular view of the lush green tea estates.
The guided tour to the Parisons tea factory was yet another highlight. The whole process of tea manufacturing was explained to us in detail which was quite insightful.
About 2kms away from the bungalow, they have a clubhouse which holds several British Colonial antiques, a billiards table, pool table, chess board, foosball, table tennis and other interesting recreational activities...
Everything about this trip was gratifying!
For a tea-lover like me who loves the mountains, the greenery and the rain (the weather was beyond perfect) this was totally worth it!!
A note to everyone whos desperately craving for a break this crazy season - This is just the right place!
Definitely visiting again!!
