The Woodlands

This place in in town, so all restaurants and market can be easily accessed. We stayed for 2 nights and it was comfortable. this hotel can be located easily. Staff was good and helped us with whatever we asked for.

The hotel can be easily identified as it is in the main road at Kalpetta. Room service and staff behavior is good.Taken Non A/c a double room.Room is clean & simple but bathrooms shows the age of the hotel.Due to some noise from outside we couldn't sleep after 2am. When asked got a casual reply from reception that noise is from a generator which is working for the next building. Restaurant staff members very polite &helpful.Food is bit expensive but not that much tasty.

I know wayanad well and their hospitality.The same thing I got in Woodlands, both in rooms and in the hotel.I resided there for three days ,namely 29th,30th of sept and 1st oct 2018 with my family.The amenities provided,ambience and service received from staff are EXCELLENT.The food provided in the hotel is also delicious.I love wayanad and I love woodlands hotel.The only request to the building owners is that some of the windows may be mosquito-netted because some prefer to sleep at nights with windows open, as in wayanad no A/C or fan is required at nights. Thank you.

During our trip to Wayanad, we did plan for breakfast in Kalpetta , we were there at the restaurant at around 9 AM. Service has been quick and food has been decent. It is on the main road and parking space also available. Worth trying

They didnt bother coming to our tables unless we literally dragged them. Not bothered that they had partially delivered the order and items were remaining. Took away the plate while we were still eating. The service staff look least bothered. Even the food was below average with so much oil. We had to literally beg for the coconut chutney and sambhar as they barely gave us any. This after they practically said no availability to almost everything we were trying to order. Go to a local restaurant, you will get a lot better service and at least you wont pay uselessly for a service you dont get.
