We had doubt if we will get the same room as they showed online but our doubts were cleared the moment we opened the door. The Inn was located near the 5 roads, away from hustles of the city. The huge porch was a plus and its serene to sit there and relax teh greens in front of you. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, hot water when needed. The staffs were good, they ensured we get what we want. Never said NO to any of our requests. Complimentary breakfast served was sumptuous. The medhu vada is crispy and tasty, you will definitely ask for one more. We had dinner from teh inn's kitchen and it was quite good. Just like teh home food. My friends were so impressed with the inn and they are planning to come back. I would recommend Clifton Inn to anyone who wants safe & plesant stay.

Nice and Calm place we great Salem city view at night. Rooms are very good. They serve Average food and you can customize the order for Dinner. Good for Big groups as they offer indoor activities, camp fire. Apart from this we chose a wrong time to visit and whole experience was a disaster due to Summer in Hill station.

We traveled with a 1yr old kid and stayed for 2 days and booked a family room which was right beside the kitchen. Pros: View from the balcony was good, the rooms were clean and spacious Cons: No intercom, every time we need anything we need to hunt for them and run till the kitchen Worst room service( I had told them to bring milk for my kid by 7am in the morning, but only after several visit to kitchen I got by 8am), Breakfast not on time(9.30am u get it that to no salt in idly, pongal, oily vada), dinner not on time (10pm u get it, chappati was gud, but side dish was useless) Water heater(geaser) was initially working....later in the morning it was not working due to some reason, when complained they asked us to use an alternate room for taking bath and waited for another 60mins to get the hot water, but they forgot to mention the cold water tap needs to be used get hot water, so ended up taking bath in cold chill water. Most of all we were asked to check out by 12...even when we said my kid was sleeping

I went with my wife and parent-in-laws to Yercaud on 14-May-2016. The booking was done by goibibo and was confirmed; and payment to the hotel was made in full for 2 night for 2 rooms a week before. I drove all the way from Chennai to Yearcaud (around 360 kms) but to my horror when i reached the resort, they simply denied haveing any booking at all for us. We were forced to get into a heated argument and post two-hours of intense argumant; continuous follow up with goibibo, they finally said yes we have your booking details with us. How easy that was for them to say like that. And during the whole time my parent-in-laws were forced to stay in the car and were not even offered a glass of water. Anyway our whole mood was already spoiled. Now let me move on to the complete review of the hotel and its amenities - No proper billing stuff and they do not ask for any record for ID - No cleam water supply (full muddy water) - Continuous powere cuts - Stained bed-sheets - Food quality not up to the mark at all - No proper parking-space (though they have some space outside the hotel) + Good tea and coffee. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE. (Please dont go by the reviews, i did the same mistake and paid the price.)

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (14th & 15th May) with family. The rooms were booked and confirmed by Deepraj (staff) three days back and upon arrival The receptionist said the reservations were not there and denied rooms, I had prepaid for rooms so I called up the owner/GM(Mr.Shreedharan) of the hotel Who picked up the call after 20 rings and finally agreed to give us rooms. My parents who were traveling with me had to wait 1 hour in the car and were not even offered a glass of water by the staff. Definitely the staff was trying to sell those rooms at a higher rate to other people as it was sold out dates in the city. The hotel has an issue of Muddy Water, frequent power cuts, stained bed sheets, rude staff and mosquitoes. As the property does not have in room dining as an option and is situated away from the city and there are no restaurants or shops nearby to eat. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.
