As my daughter is fond of swimming pool we were in search of hotel having pool facility finally we selected Fortuna Bay Resort the only hotel in Port Blair having this facility. We are thankful to Hotel staff for allocating the sea facing room during our stay. Weather was cool during that period due to off and on rains. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in HOTEL lounge and playing carrom with daughter. Hotel lobby is excellent. We really enjoyed our holiday. Food was tasty and rooms conditions were good. This Hotel property is approx 78 years old as told by Hotel staff and in good maintenance. Next time definitely we again will go for Fortune Bay Resort.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel, beautifully located with an amazing beach view. The people here claimed this to be a 70 odd year old property, considering which this is an absolutely well maintained hotel. The room we were provided was very well equipped. The staff members were most friendly. Also the food served was delicious. This is an above average property definitely.

It was a magical experience and property was very gorgeous. The staff was well committed and always prompt in their work. Room facility was up to the standard and decor was outstanding. Food was world class and restaurant was clean and well arranged.

Travelled with family and stayed in the hotel on two different days in different rooms on 4 & 11 Jan 2017.The view from the reception, dining, bar and waiting area is amazing and breath taking. The room size was average and had a difficult time to adjust in one room with a family of four including two kids. There was hardly any space left in the room with an extra bed. The bathroom are smelly and outdated without exhaust fans. On a later date requested for a room upgrade and stayed in room no 212. The room was nice, sea facing and big with lots of extra space with an extra bed except for the bathroom. If you are planning a trip with kids opt for a bigger rooms, bathroom condition you have to manage. Hotel food is good, extremely satisfied. Staff and services are good.

Fortune Bay greatly surprised me by the quality of service it provided at Port Blair. The property is dated and has a lot of rough edges but the effort of the staff made it better. The food was a weak point. Certainly edible, but needs to be improved greatly...

1. Property is old but very good. It is well maintained. 2. Restaurant location is excellent and food is good. But one can only visit for food and need not stay there. 3. Amenities - has swimming pool....but funny thing is it works from 8am to 5pm....they aspect that tourists to stay back during day time and not tour around port blair just to use swimming pool ...breakfast is at 7 30am and pool starts at 8am....ridiculous. it is only photo taking spot. I raised this issue only to listen that they will raise issue to management. 4. Services very average....had to call twice for fresh towels. 5. Reception....have been staying since two days.....have given all details of family members staying....have been depositing keys at reception every time we go out....but they selected night 10.05pm on second day to communicate extra charges details. This could very well be done in day time anyways. Here day starts early with sunrise at 5.30am and day ends early.....we were in deep sleep at that time.....after paying high tariff much high degree of hospitality is expected

Excellent location. Right behind the hotel you have access to the beach and we had an excellent morning run in the paved foot path The pool area and lookout are very good. The room itself is not so great for the amount of money they charge. Looks old and service (asked for extra pillow etc.,) is not as great and took for ever to come. The worst is the travel concierge. I think they have sublet this task and it shows. They made no effort to help us for ferry tickets (which we had trouble getting before hand) and on the first day when we went to the beach, they could have told us that we are going too late and it would get dark soon. We started at 4.30 and by 5 pm it started getting dark. Food service overall was average. Overall they can improve here.

Located on Marine hill,this resort is one of the best in Andamans. High-end but lovely place with constant view of sea,swimming pool,and a lovely bar, stay at this property is really great experience.
