When looking for group bookings, we request you to please include as many details of your travel as possible, as number of adults and children travelling, preferred dates and destinations, budget, etc.

 
How do I know that my booking is confirmed?
  Whether a booking is made online or over the phone, a confirmation would be sent to you via e-mail, which would include your reservation number and travel details.
 
Can I change my flight tickets after they are confirmed?
  While most airlines allow tickets to be changed, a fee is applicable. Changes, however, depend on the airline you’ve made your bookings on.
 
Can I book tickets for senior citizens from the website?
  To avail of senior citizen’s discount, we would require the senior citizenship card. However, currently we do not offer this service.
 
Can I book tickets for infants from the website?
  No, tickets cannot be booked for infants from the website.
 
How can I make a hotel booking for a destination not listed on the site?
  You can send a request to us at response@travelguru.com and we will revert to you within 24 hours with options for flights, hotels and holidays as per your requirements.

Itinerary
 
How is my flight ticket delivered to me?
  Tickets will be delivered either in the form of e-tickets via email or as a paper ticket through courier.
 
How will my hotel booking or vacation package be confirmed?
  For all hotel bookings made on the website, you will receive a confirmation number via e-mail.

For hotel and vacation packages booked over the phone, our reservation agents would process all your travel details and check for availability with the hotel. Your travel would be confirmed over e-mail as soon as we receive a confirmation from the hotel.
 
How long will it take for my ticket to reach me?
  Physical/paper tickets would be delivered to you within three working days. E-tickets would be emailed to you immediately after your transaction is confirmed.
 
What do I do if I do not get my ticket within 3 days of making my booking?
  If you have not received your ticket within three working days, please log-on to www.overnitenet.com and use your airway bill number to check the status of your courier. Alternatively, you can call us for details on the courier.
 
What do I do if I do not get my ticket till my departure?
  If you do not get your ticket 24 hours prior to departure, you may call us. In case we cannot get it delivered, we would issue a PTA (a Pre Paid Ticket Advice). After a PTA is issued, our agents would give you a ticket number and an airline PNR. Please quote this number at the airline reservation counter at the airport to issue your ticket. Please ensure that you are at the airport at least 30 minutes prior to the normal check-in time.
 
Can I change the delivery address after I have completed the booking?
  Yes, however as an identity confirmation, you would need to send us a request in writing. Please include the Travelguru reference number.
Changes and Cancellations
 
How can I change the itinerary of my tickets?
  Changes on tickets are subject to availability and airlines’ discretion.
 
Can I change my hotel booking?
  You may change your hotel reservation details. However, certain charges as per the hotel policies might be applicable.
 
Can I change a part of my air travel?
  Changes in your travel plan can be made by the airlines as per their policies and charges.
 
Can I cancel a part of the group that is traveling with me?
  Yes, you can request the airlines to make changes. For a hotel booking, you can cancel a part of your booking. However, cancellation charges as imposed by the hotel may apply.
 
What if my ticket or hotel voucher is lost or stolen?
  Refunds will be processed when tickets are recovered. In case this is not possible, refunds would be processed past the validity of the ticket if it has not been used by any other person.

For hotel bookings, please report stolen or lost vouchers to us via phone or email and we will blacklist the same. We would then issue another voucher if it has not already been utilized.
 
How do I know that my ticket is valid?
  A seal and signature of the issuing company/airline on the top right of the ticket is a proof of authentication.

Payments and Charges
 
If I cancel my flight booking, would any cancellation charges apply?
  Cancellation charges as mentioned below would apply:
  • For all Domestic bookings – Rs. 250/-
  • For all International bookings – Rs. 500/-
 
Will I have to pay any charges if I cancel my hotel or package booking?
  Cancellation policies and charges will depend on the hotel booked. Travelguru, will charge 3% of the total transaction amount as a processing charge for all cancellations above and beyond the charges by the hotel.
 
Will I have to pay any charges if I change my travel dates?
  Yes, the actual charges depend on the sectors of travel and the number of passengers. It will also depend on the number of days prior to departure that you make the change.
 
What forms of payments can I use when making a booking?
 
  • You can make online payments for flight tickets using all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and Amex.
  • For online hotel bookings, only Visa and Mastercard credit cards are accepted.
  • For offline hotel and vacation bookings, Visa, Mastercard, and Amex cards are accepted.
  • Cash deposits in ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Citibank will also be accepted for flights and hotels bookings.
  • We also offer a cash on delivery payment option for hotel bookings. Please refer to the section below for more details.
Are taxes included in the prices reflected on the site?
  Yes, prices of air tickets are inclusive of all taxes, levies, fees and surcharges, except those mentioned on the website.
 
If I cancel my travel, how does Travelguru refund me for tickets not utilized?
  Tickets once cancelled need to be endorsed by the airline and sent back to Travelguru for a refund. Refunds would take 3 to 7 days.
 
If I cancel a hotel or package booking, how does Travelguru refund me?
  Payments made by credit card will be reversed on the card after due intimation is made. Payments made by all other forms will be refunded by cheque, issued within two working days of making the cancellation. Any applicable cancellation charges will be applied prior to making refunds.
 
Cash on Delivery
 
What is Cash on Delivery (COD)?
  Travelguru, in association with ExpressIT is happy to provide a new payment mechanism to our customers. You can now book a hotel and pay for it by cash. This cash will be collected by us from the address provided by you.
 
What are the other types of payment options available with Travelguru?
  Travelguru also accepts payments by one of the following options apart from Cash on Delivery:
  • Payment by Credit cards – All Visa and MasterCards are accepted
  • Payment by Cash Deposit – Cash can be deposited in ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and CitiBank
  • Payment by Cheque – Cheques can be deposited into the Travelguru accounts in ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and CitiBank
  • Wire Transfer – Cash can be wire transferred to the Travelguru accounts in the above mentioned banks from anywhere in India
How does Cash on Delivery work?
  Cash on Delivery is a simple 6 step process:

Day One – The day you make the booking
  • Step One:
    You make a provisional booking, either on the website or by calling our hotel executives. When prompted for the form of payment, please select the pay by cash option
  • Step Two:
    You will be asked your address and landmark to help us locate your address
  • Step Three:
    By the end of the same day, we will call you on the designated telephone number to reconfirm your booking


  • Day Two – The day after booking is made
  • Step Four:
    Our partner, ExpressIT will call you on the telephone number provided by you to fix a time to collect the payment
  • Step Five:
    On the basis of the time fixed, ExpressIT would visit you to collect the booking amount. On collection of the complete booking amount, they will hand over an official receipt of ExpressIT and a Provisional booking voucher


  • Day Three – Two days after the booking is made
  • Step Six:
    Travelguru would confirm the hotel and a confirmed booking voucher will be emailed to you as per email provided by you

    When does my booking get confirmed?
      Your booking will get confirmed after we receive full payment. It is important that we collect the money within 36 hours of the provisional booking.

    How many days in advance do I need to make a COD booking?
      All Cash on Delivery bookings have to be made atleast 4 days prior to the check in date.
     
    Some points that are very important for us to make sure that your transaction goes well are:
     
    • Please ensure that the telephone number that you provide for the Cash On Delivery is always available and answered
    • It is important that your address and landmark are very clear. This will help us locate you easily and complete the process faster
    • Please be available at the designated address with the complete cash as per the provisional voucher sent to you. Your booking may get cancelled if we do not receive complete cash on the designated date
    • Before payment of cash to ExpressIT, please make sure that the person approaching you is a genuine employee of ExpressIT and that he provides you an official ExpressIT receipt and a Travelguru provisional booking voucher
    • We work through weekends. So the complete turnaround for your booking should not be more that 72 hours. Please call us if you do not receive your confirmed booking voucher within 72 hours of the booking

    What is Travelguru Credit Card Security information ?

    Network Security
    • At a network level, your card information is protected by Secured Socket Layer (SSL) technology, provide by Thawte, the encryption technology industry leader.

    Physical Security

    • Our Customer Service Executives are not allowed to carry their mobile phones or any other personal belonging on the work floor.

    Third party authorisation

    • For all transactions where the name of the card holder and the passenger differ, we insist on a Third Party Verification (TPA) process. The TPA is an internationally accepted methodology to check credit card fraud. Here we request the card holder to verify their card details and signatures in a faxed format, thus ensuring that the card holder is aware of the transaction.
    • Insist on a telephone landline and an address to facilitate investigations in the future, if required.
    • Cross check the validity of the transaction with the respective banker / card issuer. The Banker / Card issuer may call the call holder to authenticate this transaction.
